Beautiful screen. Moving clouds, differences between the different grasses are very well done. This is just awesome and I can't wait for the next screenshots. From the distance you can still see the elevations on the greens. That's very close to perfect, looks like a photo from an existing course. I may have to try and skip a few balls across that water. The shadows look spectacular!! Will we be able to play at different times of the day with different weather?

Oooooh, now ain't that a picture. A gust a something just knocked me off my chair, lol. Looks absolutely stunning. I'm presuming the trees are 3D, with the course being put together in Unity (with the aid of the PP Tool set). The water with the ripples looks better then the static 'glass' effect that Links offers. Game physics that improve on what Links gave us plus courses of this quality can only mean one thing for me..... Links 2003 R.I.P and hello new friend, lol.
Sweeeet... Can't wait for the next dev blog update... :-)

Jerry, Think you've answered your own question there, lol. Like you said, its a picture. Not sure about moving clouds that Fungolfer alluded to, but I mentioned ripples in the water, as you can clearly see from the second picture that the water is not the 'glass effect' that we had with Links 2003. Maybe I should have said 'ripple effect' but after seeing the water effects in the early driving range video MJ posted up on YouTube, I would fully expect this new game/sim to have decent water effects.
Daz, if you look at both pictures you can see that the clouds have moved. Not sure that the position is the same, but it seems like they really did.
OK. Got me guys. From your posts I assumed the "pictures" were animated for you...but were not for me. Jerry

Hey Mike! As usual.....FANTASTIC job on the work you have done so far. Looking at the above pictures made me think about something. The process that was created to utilize the course files from the latest Tiger Woods games (due to their accurate plotting and elevations), will it still be available to use when creating courses in Unity? I have the latest TW Masters (Collector's Edition) with all sorts of courses. Would love to know how to do all that, but was just curious if the new engine and designer will allow for all that? More importantly, Thank you, and your group, for all the hard work you've been doing! Jason
Jason, what the community makes is up to them, we can provide the tools and the tutorials but their creative direction is entirely their own. Whatever it takes we'll do our level best to provide them with the tools they need to create their own golf worlds!

Looks fantastic but from my personal experience that is one course that scares me when releasing to the public especially if this really takes off.
I'm hoping that the shading on that green will allow reading putts without artificial aids like arrows, grids, etc. Also to be able to read overall slope by holding out a club pendulum style would be nice. HeavySwinger from Links 2K3 community

Mike, I'm sure I read somewhere that you wanted this site to evolve with time. Look, I just love that. It really shows that there is a high level of commitment as well as dedication. I have just the one question. What do do think a classy Sim would do to enhance the game that you have. Not just a sim, but a sim that runs within the game and not external to it. A sim that runs in Perfect Parallel (sorry) with the game. Similar to Sim 08, GBVC or Links career but to be engulfed within the game, using all the latest tours and schedules, rules and players that could be updated with some sort of patch a couple of times a year to enable tracking of RL players and their RL current form. So when a leaderboard is displayed, that leaderboard maybe part of a ongoing 2013 tour that you can choose to be part of when opening the game. Just trying to help out with ideas, what do you think. Hi Guys and Dolls First golf game I played online after 50 years of real out side Golf, was Access the Challenge of Golf and for a number of years many of us enjoyed Watching Access achieve and bring On-Line golf to many amazing levels, and from One Male and One female Golfer, to real Golf Pro Images' on the PGA Tour. The Courses were absolutely Perfect just like the way they were when Played the course for real, If I remember correctly Access Group took over 20,000 photo's of the course, to make it really just as it was.
