Hi folks

as one of the global moderators, and tourney setters at PGLS i have taken

on the job of getting our course library cleaned up when it comes to the beta courses.

some of which have been in beta there for years and really should not still be in beta. not sure where the problem lies

here but i'm thinking a bunch of it could be in the communication area where the courses have been fixed and issues taken care of and we where not notified by the designer to remove it from beta. so if you folks in this list have fixed the issues you had with your courses please let me know in this post, or by PM or message through the forums here, the PGLS site or you could message through steam.

reason: i have played all these courses at one time or another and i see no issues in most of them. as a

tourney setter there i would like to use some of these courses on tourneys but the house rule is no betas

in the PGLS tourneys. so please if you have put the finishing touches on your courses in the list let me know so we can get to using them in our tourneys. if they still have issues and you do not intend on fixing them we will just leave them in beta.

thanks much folks for all the great courses you spend your

time putting together to keep this game going. list below

as these are removed i will also be editing them from this list.

Also, full versions of Sand Hills and Thornberry Creek will be released soon. Thornberry will probably be first as it is finished except for some buildings.

Sand Hills as an overlay never turned out the way I wanted so I will probably make it over using conventional methods.

since some of the designer are failing to answer PMs  here and PGLS we have decided

to test these ourselves and remove them from beta if we fail to find any issues.

of course if the designers do some updates we will also update said courses

when the time comes.

Ok so there are three on this list I should probably comment on so far - I mentioned them in a thread over at PGLS but they comments need to be in this thread.

This is just my opinion:
Auld Heed - should stay in beta - sand bunkers not complete & fairways are all completely flat designer probably is not done yet with this course - Course though has great potential is 90 % done.

Lumberjack National - This should come out of beta imo course is done ready to go found zero issues.

Pumpkin Ridge - Looks great played about 4 holes but to graphically intensive but seems fine I will play it at lower graphic settings and comment later on it if I remember - (someone else with a real computer could test it and would probably find it quite rewarding and enjoyable)

This course imo can come out of beta

Compliments: This designer bortimus obviously knows the ins and outs of unity. Unique textures colors and even texture physics as compared to they type of meshes and how they look that we get with Course Forge. I think he even has custom trees there are custom tees - do not want to spoil it though it is worth experiencing for yourself.

Concerns:  There really are not any concerns except perhaps the fps can go from 25 - 60 at certain spots but I still did not notice any stuttering. Also because how much obvious work, detail, and fine tuning has been done it seems maybe this file is ballyhack beta 1 because the designer wanted to seat all of the car paths - the paths are up not up in the air at all they are flush with the terrain but unlike the tees and fairways they are not seated I think this designer even adjusted the mesh heights ... so maybe this is why it is uploaded as a beta file but it is worth playing now and works fine. A polished course just like it is the unique greens are worth experiencing one may find themselves wanting to play the course learn the greens then replay it.

look at the older ones and i will also bring the Lumberjack course out as i have played it quite a few times and it does not seem to have any issues.

This course is ready to go everything is in place and works fine fraps is 60 runs smooth. Course seemed different than most any other course because of the mostly flat fairways but upon going to the Emporia Golf Clubs website and checking out the pics it is a "flat" course in addition this course was done with Lidar thing so it all seems accurate. Therefore imo this course should come out of beta

Actual course pics below  - The greens of this course are the most interesting thing .... about this course.

Already removed the Beta tag from Loch Lomond but it has hidden colliders to the right on #11 fairway near the trees. Ruined my round so i quit.

This course could come out of Beta was played on medium and difficult pins. Problem is that it needs some smoothing. fps is good A couple of tees are not flat the slope on hole 12 is playable but sloped ... It should stay in beta though because it needs some painting and smoothing but because of the unique par 5's and then the overall layout of the holes with the fairway undulations and difficult bunkers and well placed bunkers and thought given to the greens it should be experienced by all. Perhaps a beta tester PGLS pro should check it out. I think it would be grand if the designers would at their discretion provide the entire folder of course project to PGLS so that in the event the course is submitted as beta but then no more work is done on it for over a year and then someone could take up the project and finish it. For example, this course if smoothed and painted some would be epic ... However maybe this would some type of PG copywright infringement or course designer infringement who knows. Maybe not if it was just suggested and not a requirement. Shame this course may never come out of beta because it needs smoothing.
