I loved PGA2000.

Had a real swing based on tempo.

Back and working perfectly with modern computers and Win 10!

You're welcome.

For anyone interested, game manual is on page 2 of the linked thread above. Game and patch is in the utilities section. Make sure to apply the 3.3.4.5 patch. Masses of courses available.

I use original discs. I know nothing about the installation package as I've never used it and it was provided by other people. The package certainly has worked in the past or it wouldn't be on the site. What sort of problem are you having? Have you tried basics like running the install as admin, directing to install outside of program files? If installed what is happening when you try and launch the game?

Same issues for me. I can install the game from the downloaded file, however it will not run and gives error message of file not found.

I have the Titanium version on disc, but when I try to install from the disc (double clicking the setup.exe) nothing happens.

Let me do some research on the installer. Appears possibly suspect or should I say possibly not put together properly.

Setup.exe error, that will almost certainly be Win 10. It can happen a lot with old software.

Give me a little time to think of the best possible solution for everyone. It is a great game people should enjoy especially now that it functions perfectly on Win 10 and modern systems. Heck, it'll even run widescreen without fuss up to some quite reasonable resolutions.  I'm totally enjoying the game. Leave me with it and keep an eye on this thread.

Expect to see a new and working installation method toward the end of the weekend or early next week. Keep an eye on the utilities section at Golf Sim Clubhouse.

Please create an account over there and come and say hello when you are up and running or even before if you like. For anything on the game or technical support please post there. Some of the people at the site have been around the game for years and years. They understand the game very well.

Hopefully we can start forming a tight little community, have a little fun playing PGA 2000 and sharing our experiences.

This is really cool to see

I may have to poke back into PGA 2000 just for shiggles 'n gits here

It's totally awesome that 20 years on, there is still a community and people playing!

PGA 2000 was the first game to have a mouse swing, True Swing, a big step forward for golf games.  It also had other features like being able to see all three of your playing partners in a foursome if you were standing in the right spot.  You could move your avatar to get a different view.  In addition there were canned animations and comments that you could activate for your avatar by hitting a hot key.

I still have it and may try to install it on my old Windows 7 computer one of these days.  I have TW 08 installed on that computer and in my opinion it is a more complete and realistic game than TGC 2019 even though it was released in 2007.  Once 2k21 goes on sale I'll check it out.

i love TW 08 on PC with mouse swing, it's top notch development and the new courses are great. I can't believe 2K21 has less features and inferior swing mechanics. I hate 2K21's Unity engine too. EA has a much better engine were things mesh well together.

I have to admit - I've spent the last hour installing and playing TW08 in 4k and - wow - it holds up so well.

It's still super super enjoyable.

Also, the 3rd party course library is insanely great

this course is very nice, my favorite designer.

TW 8 on hardest difficulty settings is very challenging, i can't par courses . It's got dynamic time of day and fully customizable camera something a brand new 60$ 2K21 doesn't have.

Funny you'd bring that one up - I downloaded and played that a bit today in fact!

Very nice! --

One thing I do really really love about TW08 with the mouse swing is just how "connected" you feel to what's going on.

With the super responsive mapping of the mouse to the club, you really feel like you are interacting with the game/swing in a way that really very few other games have ever done.

PGA 2000 did it very well also

this is key, a real time swing with 1:1 ratio, why TW 8 is so good. I compared 2K21 to TW8 visually side by side and it's embarrassing for HB studio.

I have managed to get the game installed but cannot get the patch to work. Any help appreciated.
