Trackman is still using PG1 for their sim? Then, I guess I am prepared to wait until they start using a new updated PG. But I sure do hope that we would get it very soon or immediately after they upgrade.

I know I posted an old post.   You blood thirsty folks apparently  can't be satisfied with it.  April 8th the post will be 90 days old.  You need a update every week, month or what?  Come on guys get real.   Bashing PG and more directly the two Jones is the goal here, nothing more or less.  Just saying!

Bloodthirsty?  hahaha  c'mon give it a rest..  I just went through this entire thread and in my opinion, mostly all the responses are facts, wishes and requesting updates is all I read.   No clue where you got the "bashing PG"..    besides, this forum is pretty much dead and without threads like this, it would be completely dead.  Even you decided to read and post in it, so that says something about the topic, doesn't it?

You maybe ‘just saying’ but you are wrong. Is it really too much to ask if we have some sort of news regarding the progress of PG2? Once a month would be acceptable and at least if would keep this forum alive with something to discuss. At the moment it’s like a morgue in here!

I have heard a lot of talk about PG2 in this forum. If it becomes a reality, what kind of improvements should one expect  realisticly over version PG1?

I think there has been one minor update after the one above, but honestly, how can people complain that we’re hounding the devs when we’ve only had two updates in nearly 18 months? There are other small development houses that post weekly updates. We’re not asking for that, just something that we can get our teeth into and get our juices flowing. If the game isn’t progressing fine, just let us know!

I think most of us all want assurances that they will atleast address us, I personally don't want to go back to Links "ANCIENT" 2003 and I certainly don't want to buy TGC2019 even with lidar import because I left TGC2 for this as this was better even with a few physic issues yet. My old game (World Golf Challenge) I played with my friends is being pulled off the servers at the end of this month so that game is no more so we just can't go back to that one either. I also refuse to play postcard World Tour Golf either.

Most developers keep people informed of what's going on to keep the interest up.

While us pay check to pay check people love to play PC golf those 6 figure DEVS at Trackman don't care about us because they make MILLIONS off of Pro's and Clubs. Mike and Andrew made this great game but still in the beginning it was all about getting paid big in the end by simulator people and you could tell by the way there website was laid out, this game was to only help the visualization for their products but we got lucky to play the game to. We are an afterthought EVEN when PG2 comes out for the simulator. I surely hope Jack Nicklaus is not stupid enough to sign with them for that version.....

Also...Crucially - that update and those pics were before Trackman

One could almost take that update and "delete it" and/or forget it ever happened.

It probably doesn't really pertain to anything that's going on now and/or planned for the future with all new ownership.

True but remember all worked stopped why they developed Trackman's version of PG1.  From what I have heard they are still tweaking it to make it work well with a TM.  So who knows when they got back to pickup where they left off and if they had to then move to a newer version of unity etc.

I think the first version of Trackman Virtual golf hit around April 2018.  It didn't even have team play or scramble mode.  I think it was TPS 6.0.

Its called Trackman Virtual Golf:

https://blog.trackma...ps-6-0-release/

I just noted that they say the MINIMUM requirements are a 1080 Graphics card!   That makes me wonder if PG2 will push limits and assume you have a VERY high end gaming rig.

It appears 6.0 is still the most recent stable release.

Here is a beta which I think MIGHT be the most recent at 6.3, which implies a beta 6.1,6.2 before it.

https://mytrackman.c...ftware/tps-beta

Notice that it just received:

WHAT'S NEW?
Teams/Scramble play in Virtual Golf, you can now play in Teams

New “Spot the pin” functionality – Distance Markers inside of the game

Various other improvements and bugfixes

Facility Management hereunder:
- Create Your own Facilities
- Create Bays
- Create Tournaments and Leaderboards, Only for Closest to the Pin Challenge
- Add Sponsors Signs inside of Course Play

Therefore the BETA version of Virtual Golf is only just now getting features we have had a VERY long time.

I imagine that PG2 was too far out to finish so they put a priority on building the TM Virtual Golf based on PG1.  My guess is that we haven't heard anything because they are trying to get TM Virtual golf to catch up to PG1 on a feature set.

I doubt they have had time to get on PG2 that much since November of 2017 when their focus shifted.

This is just me guessing based on Trackman's website.

This is from the wishlist thread where Mike gave a basic idea on the performance to expect:

"Well I'm using a 1080 ti which runs at a locked 60 fps up to 1440p. Turf effects is an area specifc thing so it fades out into the distance as you would expect so performance is excellent on modern cards. When I first ran it using my 5 year old GTX770 turf effects took up nearly 20% of the GPU power whereas with the 1080 it takes up virtually nothing as the latter cards have dedicated chips for things like TurfEffects and Tesselation etc.

We're well into the 4k age now though so to run things at max settings at that res you're going to need some power. At 1080p though a GTX1060 should suffice on most courses even if you get the odd dip below 60fps."

LOL Seb.

Just so many people on this forum like to be negative and spout their own 'facts' about the demise of the game.

As far as I am aware, as stated by the devs, the game is being worked on.

and some ppl liek to stick their heads in the sand. sorry

bottomline here is, everyone in thei thread wants a pg2...btu thats only  a handfull of ppl,  i am also in theat baot where the peeps

are very skeptical about a pg2 for pc's , let alone consoles.

everything in ths world is moneydriven,a dn i doubt  a pg2 on pc will make enuf money for them.
