Thanks Daz, I have left one of the files out. Nice water now but slows my PC down quite a lot on certain holes.

I noticed with this patch loaded, the club house and other buildings no longer have all of that flashing going on, course Carroch Loch.

Since I loaded this fantastic addition from a member of the community, I have wondered why the devs didn't implement something like this rather than releasing two versions of a course?

I can't recognize the difference between on the original version and on the patched one.

I optimized reflection rendering.
The framerate increases in the courses that have many creeks made of many small waterplanes.
It can be downloaded from

@tamuchan:

You are a wizard sir!
Thank you so so much for your continued efforts here

This is literally the only thing interesting going on with PG anymore and I really appreciate you spending the time on it.

This new water is just totally awesome!

Very good patch. Only gripe I have (apart from FPS hit) is that in multi player mode when using chat window, every time I type the letter 'r' it toggles the patch on/off. Any chance the keys could be re-assigned?

The patch doesn't work for me.  The game only loads as far as the first black screen with the golden bear in the lower right corner then hangs.

I'm assuming you copied the files into the proper locations per the instructions in the Readme?  Not that the the latest iteration only came with ONE file needed to update the latest full version of the patch.  So you need to download the latest full version first...

Odd.  Everything works beautifully for me.  I'd recommend restoring the original files and the making sure the game runs as expected.  After that, try again.  Something had to have gone wrong in your copy/paste process.

JoeF are you on the beta build? Not sure if the patch works on it or not.

I'm on a new machine and having a problem that seems to be only occuring with my Autoexec.cfg file in use (for slower FreeCam speeds).

I can't get the game to launch (it kicks back to Steam, stays running as a black screen in multi-tasking view and requires quitting with task manager).

The tweak is installed correctly - as it works fine and as expected with no Autoexec file.

This is really weird as on my previous machine build, this exact setup was working, with my AutoExec file.

Any ideas?

This is all that's in my AutoExec file:

--cam_sensX=.5
--cam_sensY=.5
--cam_forwardSpeed=2
--cam_sideSpeed=1
--cam_upSpeed=3

If I remove it from the Config folder, the game launches and works fines with the Reflective patch as intended.

If I remove the Reflective patch files and put the Autoexec file back in the Config folder, the game launches and works as normal but with my custom FreeCam speeds as specified in the Autoexec file.

But the patched Reflective water + my Autoexec file won't let the game launch.

Super weird (and frustrating!)

Thanks for any thoughts tamuchan!

:)

Yea that is a strange one, I'm not having that issue. Only thing different in mine is I'm using the value 0.5 . Try executing a slowcam.cfg manually from the console. Be interesting to see what happens then.

Will do - Super odd..

Wondering if there are some log files I could get to tamuchan that might help, etc.
