I'm going to be a tourist there soon and was pondering playing a course of some kind. Any recommendations?

As a resident of Vegas, I highly recommend Paiute. 3 18 hole courses north of Vegas on native American land. All done by Pete Dye. Beautiful desert courses, no housing, traffic or distractions. Well worth it!

We did an OGT in person meet up in Vegas for 4 rounds of Golf.
We played,
Bear's Best,
Chimera
Reflection Bay
Pauite Snow.
It was an awesome trip. If I had to rank the courses we played I would say:
1) Reflection Bay - BY FAR my favorite course there. Greens were still recovering from a punch. The other bummer is they don't have a range, just a net to warm up with. However, the course is beautiful with some great holes.
2) Pauite Snow - Course was in amazing shape. Its a dessert style links feeling course to me with few trees. Some beautiful holes. The greens were the best greens we played. Its at a higher elevation. As Spy88 said, all the Pauite courses are nice and the courses are kept up really well.
3) Tie between Bear's Best and Chimera - I had higher expectations for Bear's Best, so maybe if I didn't have such high expectations maybe I would have thought better of the course. Maybe because its a compilation of Nicklaus Designs holes on several courses that didn't have a feel to it or maybe it was the 50 mph winds we played in. Some holes you could see the strip and you played down the elevation toward that strip that was pretty cool. Chimera was a good track too. I played my best round there but it wasn't as memorable as the other courses.
Good luck and have a great trip.
PS - you can try putting $100 on 00 on the roulette wheel and if you win you can play Shadowcreek. Sounds like an amazing course but wow talk about $$$$$$

Thanks fellas, ended up getting in a quick 9 at Painted Desert. TopGolf would've been great but it's coming to Australia anyway.
