Clever course setup by Bjorn took a lot of the US firepower out of the equation. You simply cannot ever be strong enough to bulldoze the ball out of the damp September European rough with any degree of control.

Fairways and greens won it this week and that's Molinari's bread and butter. Sure the setup worked against Mclroy but generally it suited our team much better.

Yes, I don't think the home course advantage can be understated with this one.

These bomb and gougers had no idea what to do with it.

I think the USA need a task force to sort this mess out.

Oh hang on.....

Its hardly surprising they get battered over here, playing those PGA courses with their carpet rough, wide open fairways and mostly fair weather just makes them soft when it comes to a course like Le golf nat.  The PGA tour is mainly a putting contest,  Justin Thomas took the time to play the French open and look how well he did, the yanks were not hardened to the challenge, simple as that.

Really wonder if Tiger & Phil will look back on things many years from now when their careers are all said and done and think "Boy I did incredible things and will be considered among the best to ever play, but wow I sucked in the Ryder Cup"?  Probably not.  But they have indeed sucked in this event.  I know Stricker is their bud and they are likely both trotted out there again in 2 years, but if I'm captain I don't pick either if they do not automatically qualify.  No way no how.

Le Golf National was a fantastic venue..great match play course.  Great job by the Euros of using course setup to their advantage.  They do this SO much better than we do.  I have always thought we should give a Bermuda grass course with grainy greens a try.  Not to be in the forseeable future.

Congrats to Europe..job well done.  The sniping and back biting has already started over here.  Our guys make themselves hard to root for, they really do.

I missed seeing the Sunday singles, but the conclusion seemed written by mid-day on Saturday anyway.  I'm going to have to try and find some footage of the singles and Sunday evening press conferences ....

When you look back at nicklaus or woods or Mickelson career will you even know their ryder cup record or just how many majors they won won? Nobody cares, it's an exhibition every couple of years and sure, it's nice to win but in a few weeks nobody will care until 2020.

I'm sure those guys will be fine in 20 years looking back on their career's
