I'm trying to add a custom image to the library and it only shows as a folder with some weird file underneath it of the same name.

When I drag this file into a layer it shows up like polar or wrapped with no detail.

Example: Yellow is how image goes in. Red is how I need it to go in.

Any clues?

Your texture is being imported as a "Sprite".

Left click once on your texture and open the Inspector tab. "Texture Type" will say "Sprite (2D and UI)". Change that drop-down to "Texture" and choose Apply.

I cloned bunkertan, put the new image in and did the trick mentioned above, saved the layer set as a new set, and all the freaking textures in all the layers are now set to that sprite thing of whatever.

How do I fix this, and why does it switch all the textures?

This is pretty frustrating.

What is wrong with this bunker?
All the textures and the normal are normal textures and not that stupid sprite thing...please help?!

Add textures to the Library from the Project as pictured.

Once in the Library DO NOT click Save As, just regenerate

the splines. When you close Unity and Open the next time,

all should be still the same.

I did do a saveas. This is probably the problem.

How can I get back to before the saveas?
I can load default, but then I can't edit anything.

** Reading and watching that thread suggested.

EDIT: I believe I figured it out...or fixed it anyway.
No matter what I tried, if I loaded default library and then tried to SaveAs, so I could edit, I would get the sprite textures.
So I deleted all SaveAs libraries from both places, copied the "custom" library (which I had deleted from the libraries folder) over from my project folder with the appropriate files, and started from there.
That library had one change to BunkerTan. So I just made the blacksand texture a texture instead of sprite and it worked. All splines work and we're all happy.

...I need a drink!
