how come this happens? can't something be done about the way the ball goes through

the retaining walls. i do understand the retaining walls are to retain the earth, but the ball should not go through

them either.

seems something would have been figured by now.

As far as I know this is a Unity bug so the designers aren't able to prevent it from happening.

When the ball starts rolling it passes through colliders.  Yes it stinks that this is still an issue.

something else i have noticed on quite a few courses is the bridges

every time i have tried to bounce one off a bridge to get a few extra yards the ball

just goes through it, same problem?

That can be fixed by the designer.

A collider has to be added to the bridge on import and then assigned a physics property. Lastly, the prefix "Spline" needs to be added to the name of the object.

Ball in flight will respond correctly. Ball on the ground rolling nothing can be done for that.
