Hello everyone. There is a 12 acre lake that borders some tees on my home course - for a visual, think Medinah.

My question is; do I draw a water hazard spline around the entire lake and then add drop zones in the areas where the ball crosses over the water or do I draw a  hazard spline only around those areas where the ball crosses the water? If it is the last method, do I draw a straight line over the water in two locations to form a connected spline from one shore line to the opposite shore line?

As always, thank you.

Do you have a picture you can share?  Maybe an overhead view of the holes/tees in question?

Depending on where the tees are relative to each other (and ball flight), it is possible that you might need multiple hazard splines.

Thanks for responding js. Two tee boxes are relatively close to each other but teeing off in opposite direction and opposite shoreline across water. I don't mind drawing individual hazard splines, but I just need to know if I can draw them across the water to the opposite shore and back again to the shore in front of the tee box in order to complete the spline.

Thank you
