My second course is Meadia Heights GC. The course is real and only a few miles from my house. I've asked for help with my two helpers Matt & Larry as usual. So you will see some unique objects from Larry and Matt chipped in a few of them also. What I'm looking for here is general comments and any idea's to make improvements or techniques to make improvements. I still have many things to work on yet before sending to OGT to beta test. Here are the know issues.

1. FPS issues on a few holes. The worst is 4 & 13. I'm not sure how to make that better. Idea's please.

2. I have to make a second terrain around the edges. Some of the edges show on a few views.

3. I still have some painting to do the hide the overlay in a few places.

4. I'm also going to redo the course slash screen. This one is only temporary.

Here's the link to download.

Sorry no posted pictures for the moment.

Nice looking course but as you said, FPS is an issue.  Holes 4 and 13 were 21 and 19 respectively.  This was with my camera distance set at around 1200 which is my normal setting.  I reduced the camera distance to about 500 and the FPS was still only 22 and 20.  Holes 9 and 12 with the 1200 camera distance were 32 and 29.  All these numbers were with dynamic sky on.

I didn't hear any sounds but I assume you will be adding some.

Course looks great. All the objects that Larry and Matt did look Excellent. Being a mouse player frame rate is definitely an issue. The approach shot on #3 is down to 14 FPS on my machine with dynamic skies off. Hole 4, 12, 13 are between 15 and 16 FPS with dynamic skies off. Which make the meter basically unplayable. I imagine if your doing it basically for the simulators frame rates not an issue I'm guessing, beings you have no swing meter. To me it looks like you have a awful lot of the conifers planted in those areas which are high on the tri count. If you have a lot of the desktop 5 conifer planted in those areas they are 23,412 Per tree. Is it possible you may have planted some hero trees? Maybe you could optimize some of the tree LOD's a little better?

By the way most of the courses will run 40 FPS and above on my machine

I will try to thin out the trees and hope that helps. Yes I will add the sound at some point.

Course update.

Still working on the FPS issues and still no second terrain yet.

1. New splash screen done.

2. Added hazard markers on a few holes that I missed doing.

3. Added course sound that was not added before.

I've updated the course  in the down load link if you want to see the progress. More updates to follow before I move it to beta status.
