Here's something to try. Set your Windows pointer speed one click to the left of neutral and see how that feels. RTS is about finding your own swing through adjusting pointer speed and sensitivity settings until you find the balance that best suits you. Then it is about practicing until you start getting "muscle memory" of the feel of a good tempo.
Tour Pro is difficult. It requires focused concentration on each and every swing. Though others have felt the nomenclature should be changed my feeling is that it truly indicates the skill required to play at that level. You have to be as good as an IRL tour pro to play well at this level.
@ JB et al, the major problem I have is my inability to find either a tempo that works either at say 95% (minimizing the deviation when I hit away from the 0.25 ratio) or a combination of mouse settings that give me a consistent shape! Have even applied compressed air this week in the mouse laser in case there was crud in the orifice. Short game is getting somewhat better at TP for sure because I am scrambling for 10+ holes per round now and I'm playing the challenge tour as well. Latest tourney at Scottsdale had me shooting 4 rounds in the 70's for the first time due almost entirely to my short game 120yds in (no discernible difference with irons/woods from longer range).
80.79.78,84,83,81,78,77,81,77,81.83,73,76,71,74 has been my competitive rounds at TP @ OGT since my switch - make of that what you will.
@ JoeF, windows pointer speed is already 1-click to the left but thanks for the suggestion. Re finding 'the balance' there are many many swings that I have had in TP which feel right as I'm making the swing but the reality can be such a wild shot (either from the tee or the FW) that double+ is on the cards. Even on the range I can go from a swing of say 0.30 one swing (in the trees on the right) to the next swing 0.20 (in the trees on the left). Maybe my brain is unable to cope with the muscle-memory required at TP or perhaps I am being somewhat harsh on myself.
Am hoping that other heavyweights at TP (RTS) would care to share their thoughts
Edit: Good news I am not bottom of the leaderboard this week
