Don’t miss the preview video showing the “stunning visuals”..

I’m pretty amazed at how bad this looks.
This wouldn’t even have been first rate mobile graphics 5 years ago.

It’s shocking to me that the PGA is letting their license be used for something of this “quality”.
Sign of the times I guess.

Sigh

If you have five minutes to kill go ahead and download this and try it (it’s free with ADs).

It’s simply astounding.
This may be the worst PGA branded golf game ever.

The mechanics are ridiculous and dumb and the graphics are mid 2000’s level at best.
It’s shocking to me that the PGA Tour would want their name on this.

Even if you’re trying to appeal to kids - I get that - but even in that type of game genre it’s not a good effort.

I just did a course for a smartphone app that uses Unity... but there's no splines or anything, it's just painted terrain with some basic trees and the default water plane. I'm kind of curious to see how that turns out. They may ask me to do more. It is supposed to launch in June.

I'm concerned about the lack of precision amongst the shapes, but they don't seem bothered by it.

Is it a free to play with upgrades and ads sort of deal?

Casinos and vending machines is how I refer to it.

I haven't seen it yet. Still being tested.

I think they do want to put it in casinos though eventually.

Like Buck, I was vastly underwhelmed with the graphics as well as the gameplay for PGA Tour Shootout.

I uninstalled it after playing the 2nd tutorial.   :(

To me the best golf game for iOS still remains the old port of the Neo Geo turf Masters game.

It’s the only time you’ll find me using a click swing meter.

Good link. Thx for sharing.
The game play mechanic is sort of similar but the graphics on this are way way better to my eyes than the PGA effort.

It looks like they tried to copy this concept and did a horrible job at it.
The PGA should’ve just partnered with this or bought this and modified it

I haven't tried it, but I watched the video to which you linked for it... one thing for sure, it looks a heap better than PGA Shootout!  Is it follow cam only though?  I've developed such a dislike for follow cam that it has become a gamebreaker for me.

Ok, I’ve checked out most of the other mobile golf games and I’m back to playing WGT on my iPad. 🥺

There’s plenty of things I dislike about this game (especially the “pay to win” features). However, there’s enough things that I can tolerate (overall graphics and gameplay) to warrant playing while watching TV. 🙂

WGT is pretty good, despite all the spammy/scammy stuff.

My one gripe is that I wish they could get a few more photo camera angle shots so that you could more often be close to directly behind your golfer.
