I'd like to offer up a new spreadsheet utility I made for myself - the Hole Viewer.

It started as a virtual Caddy assistant, but it can also provide a quick way to make a scorecard.jpeg.
It reads any course.description file, and creates a graphical output of the pin locations, all combinations of Tee-Pin yardages, and a rough hole layout with elevation changes. And it also makes scorecards (for RandyG over at PGLS). Have fun with it.

For someone who is borderline OCD with this sort of thing, this will come in super handy.

Thank you.

I'd be interested in any feed back you guys have, especially the course designers.

It'll be a work in progress for a few months, so any features that you think would be handy, let me know.

Only thing is - it doesn't work with any of the online spreadsheet (no VBA package).

So it won't work with MS-Excel? How do you start it?

Yeah, I tried it using Open Office and it said it wouldn't work because of the macros.

It works with MS-Excel, just enable Macros when prompted.  Macros are needed to parse the data and move around some of the picture backgrounds.

Matt - it does not work with any of the Browser based Excels (Open Office) because they don't include the needed Visual Basic programming language.
