I had to agree to an "End User License Agreement". First time I recall that, except when the game was released.
At least it didn't say "End of your User License Agreement"

Yeah someone obviously ____ this update up but I guess not everyone is affected? I know my grid is all screwed now and I have to raise it in the console (` and type in gr_gridOffset) and I have to type in 0.05 to get it back to above the mesh. I also get that ugly golf shadow until I hit the ` key for the console and type in golf and ` out of it and the shadow is gone.
They update and can't get no beta testers to try it out first so it doesn't affect us all and also can't come in and say something. I am trying not to say anything anymore about "THEM" but it's getting hard.

I did not see a JNPG update when I started up the game in the last couple of days so just to confirm, this is another one of those Steam updates which seem to occur on a regular basis. Everything works fine for me but the avatar does look closer to so I have to adjust because I am a RTSM player. The biggest difference I see is that the shadow of the avatar is no longer "solid" and "shimmers" is the best way I can describe it.
My build # is 3847870 and I assume that would have been the number before the Steam update. Some info from Mike or Andrew would be appreciated.

I played around with the shadow detail slider and managed to regain the "solid" ani-shadow by turning it quite low (about 30) and it looked decent. However turning this down so low now meant that the shadows from trees vanished. There may be a sweet spot somewhere but either extreme look worse than before.
