Warning: this post is necessary for venting purposes.

So.... I have been busy with RL and my current WIP has been sitting idle.  I have the speedtree modeler subscription because I keep forgetting to cancel the damn thing because life is what happens while you are making other plans lol.  Anyway, I get June's bonus trees and decide to see what they look like.  I add em to my project and place two different trees, render and then load the course up for a look-see.

The trees are decent enough, but I have around a 10% FPS hit on all holes.  So, I remove the trees re-render and re-check FPS.  I've played 3 rounds just to make sure, but I still have a 10% FPS hit.

I am sure there is something else to blame, but the precipitous event was the addition of the trees.  I track FPS religiously and I've seen similar drops towards the end of my projects, but nothing this significant and nothing this early.

Nothing else on my box has changed.  No updates, drivers anything...

10% is not acceptable.
