just starting this thread to see what others would be willing to pay to play

a PG2 whenever it may come out. maybe a little incentive to show the powers that be there is still a bit of money to be made from the PC crowd.

i will get this started, as a disabled person on a limited income i would be willing to pay

100.00 bucks a year it would be nice to be able to make it in 2 payments but i would take it how ever i can get it.

i simply love this game and to be honest i feel there should be some more to it but i would still be willing to cough

up a C note each and every year that i get to enjoy it.

lets hear what others have to say.

and remember im a fella with major mobility issues and spend many hours playing

sitting in front on my computer and enjoying the fact it is the most real life golf title we

have in the PC world.

I am willing to pay a reasonable dollar figure for PG2.  I am even willing to pay a reasonable monthly subscription fee.   I would pay for courses released by PG and our great user created course designers.  I will Support the PG community.  It is a brother/sisterhood type of thing imho.

Never have not bought a video golf game and will buy whatever comes out. I have always hoped we would see a second version and still hope we do.

Thanks for starting this thread Dave. I got absolutely no desire to play GC any version, tried it, don't care for it! PG is the best out the imo! Yes I'd be willing to pay- a C note doesn't sound high imo - that's only around $8/mo.

I'm in for paying a reasonable price for it.  Not so much for an annual or monthly fee.

I believe almost everyone, who plays this game,  would be willing to pay a standard video game price which seems to be about $60 these days.  Me included

This has been raised more than once over the last 2/3 years. My take on it then was I would pay £50 for the game plus £50 for the designer plus PG courses, but they dried up of course. Anyhow. I never saw any response from PG taht I recall.

I would have to decide to pay whatever only if the game was complete...  100 bucks for what we have today, no way...   more features, avatars, being able to set up tournaments, amazing stock courses, add-ons, etc.   most likely.

Really depends on the state of the game at release.  BUT since I do enjoy the game as it is today and if the new version is  somewhat like it, then there is a good possibility that I would purchase.

Adding my support as well. Not big on the subscription model, but I would easily pay $60 for the base game, plus extra for courses, and major upgrades....pretty much the old Links model :)

If it came with an undated version of course forge that played nicely with a newer version of unity, I would be willing to drop $100 on it...  I am not a fan of subscription based services, but I would do it if that was the model PP selected.

An initial purchase price including a few packaged new courses, with annual/semi-annual purchased major upgrades is a typical and logical option. The option to purchase additional new PG designed courses could also be included.

An acceptable pricing model of $60 - $75, with major upgrades priced at $45 - $50 does not seem out of line for a Golf game of this quality.

I'm not sure what I would pay. Do any other games that you buy outright charge for upgrades? I do believe I paid Steam or whoever for downloadable content, so I guess I would be up for that as far as new courses go. I don't think that I am that big on a subscription mode though. The thing is, would we ever see it anyway?

That was the typical practice in the past with such software as the LINKS series by Access/Microsoft as well as most other software developers.

I have to crack up a bit at this topic (yet again).
I think there are about 5 of us who've started essentially the same discussion over the past 3-ish years.

It's like an "indoor exercise bike for the mind".

Oh - to answer the OP.
"yes" - willing to pay $5-15/mo-ish or $40-$200/year just sort of depending upon what the offering is in terms of content, access, updates, etc.

It’s really irrelevant until one of the devs, or whoever owns the game, comes on here and explains their intentions.

Given the shabby way the devs have treated this community, they should pay me.

Personally, I think PG1 is very enjoyable "to play".  That said, the lobby is way overdue for an overhaul.  And to be repetitive, the game needs a left-handed golfer and a woman avatar.  Other "minor"? tweaks would be nice, e.g. additional camera options, scorecard improvements.

If PG2 would include the aforementioned changes, I'd be quite willing to pay an annual subscription price of about $60.  Perhaps an additional amount of, say $15, would entitle one to unlimited options of clothing.  I suspect that club options (TaylorMade; Nike; etc.) might be subject to licensing restrictions.

I also think that Course Designers are entitled to be rewarded for their efforts.  Just spitballin', perhaps a newly designed course might be available for a one week trial basis.  Thereafter, the course must be permanently downloaded at, say $2.
