I wouldn't even think about a subscription until we know exactly what PG2 will look like.

For me, there are certain things that have to be there before I would pay for this game a second time like a proper and sustained tournament structure with statistical collection, rankings and handicaps, for instance.

New course would need to be introduced regularly with no charge on a higher subscription payment but a small charge on a lower subscription payment.

Right now, we need a solid statement of intent from PG that PG2 will actually happen and when.

Sorry for the hijack. But, I'm an old guy (well not really old, but retired nonetheless). I like to watch football. Unapologetic  a Packer fan, but if they are doing really crappy and the Bears are doing well, I could possibly switch allegiances at the end of the season, but if both are doing well I will stick entirely with the Packers. But overall I am still a Cowboy fan even from my youth.

Anyway. Do you have to know a lot about football, to play Madden well? Is it a difficult game? I am an overall terrible gamer but have been able to get through several levels of the latest Doom without cheating. Imagine that.

Could not understand why anyone wou;ld switch to the Bears from any other team. Still waiting for some measurable forward movement for 34 years now.

It does help to know about football- routes, formations etc. but you can pick it up and there are some training modes in there as well so dont let it stop you if you'd like to try it

True, but I live in Illinois. I hate what the McCasky's did after they won the Super Bowl. I don't think Trubinsky has what it takes as a quarterback either. I have spent the last few years of McCarthy being pissed off at the Pack too. But I don't want to hijack this thread anymore either.

I am going to put any comments regarding payment amount for PG2 on the back burner. Of course, like all of you I would love to see a PG2 release and I am hoping  because I am 71 now, that I will live long enough to see it and be able to play it. I made this same comment when PG was originally released what, about 7 or 8 years ago. At that time I meant it in a joking sort of way. I am beginning to realize that it is not that funny anymore. Time will tell the story. I will decide what value I put on PG2 once it starts to resemble some sort of a simulated finished product. If it was not for the online play feature which it has always had, we probably would not even be having this discussion.

I am 3 years behind you. I share your sentiment re PG2. But wouldn't it be nice. All we have are cryptic replies that it's development is still alive.
