Could someone tell me how to get this. I saw a bobbing weapon script on Unity asset store but not bobbing boat.

As far as I know, the flock of birds script is really the only third party script that can be used for animations.

Instead, I would handle this with simple Unity animation keyframes. Below is a video that should give you an idea on what you could do.

Justin, NoPutt, Jimbobh, and DogGs have all had some animations on their courses, maybe they will chime in with some thoughts.

Thanks Matt but I have the animation running fine i.e. moving the boat from A to B and that is smooth and on a single level. There's no rise and fall that a real boat would do. But I have some faint memory that someone mentioned a seperate "bobbing boat" script which I assume makes the boat "bob" as it moves from A to B.

There may be a script, but it won't work in JNPG.

Getting the boat to twist and oscillate on a vertical

axis, (yaw), would be a hassel with the animator, but

have you considered using the Ocean Waterplane?

It rises and falls, and can be adjusted to look

like a lake or pond.

I once did  and posted a script for a bobbing boat, but we soon discovered (like DPR and NoPutt have mentioned above), scripts will not get built into your course - because feasiblity they could be use to cheat.

So your boat will bob around ok in the editor, but not when you actually build and play your course.

You might however find some store asset that has the ability to keyframe script based motion, or you could manually keyframe the positions a bobbing script moves your boat to.

You can simply make it bob by rising, lowering and rotating it in the same key frames in the animation controller. I did something similar with a sail boat in my Ocean View Course.

At One minute in on this video.
