yet Rob V you still keep looking at the forum ? PG designed the best golf sim ever as mechanics are involved being more intrested in designing your new trousers and jacket or looks, Maybe you should try playing THE SIMS

Yeah, so the hell what?  Did I strike a nerve with you and your "best golf sim ever"?   I visit a few forums on my daily routine, with coffee in the morning..  and this is one of them.   and I was just responding to K anyway..  so I am off to play the SIMS now..

Guys,

JNPG is dead for PP.  Last update to bypass server along with free DLC courses was to say exactly that.  Wishing PP to do anymore for jnpg is just wasting your breath.

I see that TGC19 is also a dead end and doesn't appear that HB has any desire to work on another version....

I wonder why they can't or won't just say that out loud?

I'm a little conflicted with them if it truly is "completely dead" -- yet they continue to leave it for sale on Steam to perhaps entrap the unsuspecting customer who doesn't know better and waltzes into losing $30 for dead software.

Now that Trackman have “rebranded” PG and are updating it with VG2 I still think they might throw us non-Trackman Sim players a lifeline. A sales pitch of “Buy Trackman with VG2 or a GC2 and use some software that we discarded years ago”. It might massage the egos of everyone at Trackman while allowing sim players who are not their target market to carry on with PG1 and raise a few quid in sim passes. Despite some of the stuff on the forum, I still think PG is brilliant. The current batch of course releases are phenomenal and the game physics are good enough to enjoy a realistic game.

Absolutely not. Jnpg 1 is a threat to VG2.

So what sim options do Non-Trackman users have? I bought TGC 2019 which was on sale over Christmas. Only used it on PC as no sim pass but it seems an inferior product to PG. Foresight’s own software is terrible and horrifically expensive.

Notwithstanding the excellence of the core of PG1, I would like to remind several of you all that it is now 1st Q 2020. How are all your predictions going for the release of PG2?

I would also like to remind you that I gave an unequivocal 'Never'.

Happy New Year (from the Australian Fyre Festival).

PG2 is “out” - just not for us..

Basically exactly as predicted (and feared).

It would be nice if EA Sports would come out with a new golf game superior to the games that they have released to date. I still play TW08 but I don't think that it is as good as this game. Robv do you score under par at tour pro? I play amatuer and most of the time still can't break 80 so this game is still challenging for me. I was surprised as I also played Links recently and the graphics on some of the later courses were very good as well. Just my opinion.

Tour pro?   no way in heck.. I barely break par in Amateur and I trust me when I tell you, that is not the reason why I stopped playing the game..  I am just losing interest, due to lack of features, immersion, atmosphere, career mode, avatars, etc.  It has become boring to me.

I am sure it takes a lot of practice, patience, calculation, taking time to read geens, etc. to make some of the scores you see over at PGLS.  I just do not play that way.  I do enjoy a challenge, but generally speaking I play strictly for fun.  Everyone has their go to game and mine is Links.. still playing with family and friends on the weekends.. it is still a really fun golf game for me and that is what is important.   I dunno.. maybe I will do a round in PG here and there, playing in another tournament, but right now I have no interest.   I am even thinking of getting back in Rory or heck, picking up TGC  2019 as I see it is on sale.

Fair play Rob , the lack of features ,immersion is very valid . If only the developers could have added such features and immersion it would have been great. When is PG2 comming out?

I wouldn't hold my breath on PG2. Rob, I like links a lot. In fact I played it on one of the recent courses and it looked pretty good.
