Simulator player here.

Does anyone use an xBox controller and what are tips on how to best use it? It seems overly convoluted.

In addition, every time I log into PG I have to change from real time swing meter to simulation, it never saves that setting change. Is there a fix for this?

I may get away from Gamepad and looking at one of these mini keyboards. Anyone have thoughts on these? https://www.amazon.c..._s_sparkle&th=1

Finally, once using a gamepad, I can't seem to get it to switch from gamepad controller back to mouse/keyboard. The setting will not change. Anyone run into this and how to get back to keyboard?

You can't change swing methods after starting a round. And I doubt you will have any luck playing with a track pad.

A game has not started. It's stuck on gamepad only. I tried using the console but that didn't work either. I am totally stuck on the controller select popup that I cannot dismiss.

That popup(when you have a controller plugged in) should have 60 sec timer then reverts to mouse.
