oh yes i see it now - lols, is that what it is - i thought someone must have left a piece of limp lettuce stuck on the end of the flagstick, hahaha

it's pathetic PP

can we have a permanent grid as an option that stays on the green and is moveable and dots change accordingly.

break line indicator - pfffft

lols

:D  :D  :D

Once you adjust to it, it's far more accurate than any grid is....

Absolutely true!

After a couple rounds it was obvious that my putting was way more accurate using the new BLI method. Now if we can just get it to be a color that's easier to see I'll be much happier

I would care what hideous colour it is. I like things to look as natural as possible.

L,

As we don't have BLI in real life, what would be natural?

Lol. What's natural about a dragging a huge red stick around to aim and see the break to begin with?

I would recommend they allow us to choose the color to get over this subject in a hurry, because if they just choose the color they like we're always going to all be disagreeing about it.

I'm frankly shocked they chose the color they did. Couldn't have been a worse selection if you ask me. It's borderline impossible to see in about half the normal lighting and weather conditions in the game

Of course, the green grid alternative is so 2015, lol.

Grid squares with little white dots rolling left and right. So cutting edge.

Personally.... I think when you choose to play the game with no assists the grid and bli should be off and not an option.

I would rather the greens show a little more punched up dynamic range and contrast so you can 'read' them. And you still get the 'new visual ball lie graphic' that is being coded a blinding speed for the next update. Other than that, play as close to real life as you can.

I'm fine with F2 working unless you want to make a notebook that comes with each course showing distances, OB markers, pin locations etc.

well how about an x y z axes on the bottom of the stick where the lengths are proportional to the green profile, like this:

the lengths would change as you moved the stick around, i think it would be much more intuitive than that thing, and look much better too

Are you a GIS engineer?

Once you get used to it, the BLI is very accurate... Have you tried it for any length of time?

well at least you can see what its relative to - that line tells me nothing really, it looks half-assed.

No, the line moves with the break.. at the point you're going over.. as it moves around when you drag it from the ball to pin, it's showing you what is going on along that path.... far more than the grid can...

well i've made a suggestion to back up my mouth anyway

i guess its here to stay but it's relative to nothing, it's uncallibrated - personally i think orthagonal would be more appropriate than euclidean here

i've had my say, that's that.

All these big words are giving me a headache.

I stick with four letter ones like "golf", "fore", "putt", "chip", "sh*t" -- lol

It's absolutely relative to the how 'tight' the green was constructed. As far as calibrated, not sure that's really even applicable.. Calibrated to what?  I guess it's calibrated to it's consistency... in the information it shows.

Again, once you get a feel for what it's showing you it's very accurate...

If you keep your left button pressed down and move the BLI around the view wont change as you scan your putt's line.

That's true Mike but unless you bring the cursor back to the ball or keep it in a straight line when you let go of the left mouse button the aim will move of aim to where ever the cursor last was ... a small irk but an irk all the same  :P
