I feel as if since the 1.3.4.0 update which fixed the MS movement the sensitivity on the snap when putting has increased significantly. When the new flagless putting was introduced the PP team said the snap sensitivity would be reduced to compensate for the harder, more realistic putting. And that was working really well, I thought, the putting was challenging without being annoyingly frustrating.

I am finding myself missing a lot of silly putts under 5ft due to pulling or pushing the putt...and I am finding it very hard to keep the mouse as perfectly straight as required. I wasn't having this trouble before 1.3.4.0.

I have tried adjusting the short game sensitivity slider but that only adjusts the speed of the power gauge relative to the mouse movement and doesn't seem to affect left to right movement sensitivity.

I agree that it's very sensitive and it seems to be even more sensitive inside of 5 feet.

However, what I've found is that if you push the mouse forward very rapidly this is less likely to happen. And since there is no tempo requirement on putting it doesn't hurt you.

It's much easier to push the mouse in a straight line you you are moving it faster.

Hi Robbie,

I found myself having problems with pulling and pushing putts BEFORE the most recent two updates, and less so or in fact very little at all after.

May I enquire what sensitivities you are currently running? Mine are 1.6 for general play and the default 1.0 for putting. For some reason the massive disparity between the two seems to work for me..... most likely because of the style of putting stroke I have with is a slow backswing and slight hover before moving through at a similar pace in the delivery.

As far as losing your line on plane for the putting, nothing changed as far as I'm aware in that, and the challenge was always there to keep that under control. Have you changed anything around your playing environment such as desktop orientation, seating position or even screen height because I have found in the past that small changes in those can have a major effect.

I must say, having seen the scores you have been posting up in Ted's Pro Tour, your scores would be even more frightening if you can get the putting to perform how you wish!

Mebby: I will try that and see if it helps, thank you. I like to watch the arrow and try to ensure it stays straight and I move very slowly and carefully so that would be quite a change for me.

MimicPs: Haha thank you, yes my scores are decent and I've worked hard at it at PRO level. I just played 2 frustrating rounds at OGT at Florida Glades where I felt I should have scored 68/69 but for some very sensitive snap errors on short putts that left me feeling frustrated. You might be right about the mouse/desk position and I will certainly look at that. It feels more like the old flag system in terms of snap, especially at close range, less so from a distance. I was using 1.20 normal and 1.00 for short game. I just tried 1.30 for short game and it felt a little better actually. I thought I had it set to that but I think it is reverting back to 1.00 upon restarting. Cheers.

I too feel as if the push/pulls have gotten less severe after the last update.  Either that or I've gotten better at putting.
