Hi,

I'm looking forward to the release of Course Forge more than anything else for this game.

 

With that in mind I am posting this to make you aware of an exclusive tour that I hope will be up and running come the start of 2017. I would like the tournaments to mirror the actual tournaments being played in the real world, be it on the US Tour or European Tour.

 

What excites me as a player is being able to tackle the same courses as the pros and enjoy the same courses and conditions (as close as is possible). Imagine teeing it up at a user created Royal Troon in July. Playing your first round and then watching the 'real' round one unfold on the TV. Makes my mouth water.

 

Obviously the ability to recreate the actual events on tour will be down to whether the course has been created. If not, a similar style course will be used. I trust in the community that once Course Forge is with us, we will have a lot of options in this respect.

 

I have created a frame website using wix which will show you what I expect from a tour and what will be available. The schedules and events are not in place for obvious reasons but you will get the idea from what is there. My aim will be to provide an event each week running from January 2017 through to October 2017 and also provide statistics and leaderboards, culminating in a final season event for tournament winners.

As I said earlier it will be an exclusive tour for maybe 100 players or so ... as I know it will be a lot of work keeping up with everything.

 

Have a look if you think you are interested. Ideas and suggestions are welcomed at this very early stage.

 

Its just an idea as we stand but something id love to implement.

I think it's a great idea Olly and look forward to seeing it unfold as the game continues its development.

One of the most impressive sites I have seen is one ran on The Golf Club at http://tgctours.com/

They have various tours depending on ability.  Sadly my machine runs that game really poorly but no issues with Perfect Golf.

The nice thing about the OnlineGolfTours Tournaments are they have Beginner, Amateur, Pro and Tour Pro difficulty Tours to compete in.   A player selects the tour (based on difficulty setting)  he/she wants to play.  Registers for that tournament and the tournament will appear in the Perfect Golf - Tournaments - Public Tab and the PG game handles everything automatically.  No scorecards to copy/paste, no scores to witness.  The whole thing is Automatic. 

Dang I sound like I like the OGT.

These are some great sites, and I hope they all have an abundance of new Players once the PG game goes live.

 

Similar to the above, i currently have a very small site setup for the Country Club side of things, whereby I aim to run at least 2 Tournaments. These won't be the conventional type of Tournaments we normally see through those sites shown here... so no toe stepping from me. Just my apologies for jumping in your thread.... I won't place a link just yet. Suffice to say, one of the Tournaments was recently experienced within the Public Tournaments ingame.

 

Just need the game to go full retail asap really !
