Very good information given throughout, and great to have Andrew there, as well as Art, a member of the community.

My takeaway is that Perfect Parallel is involved in many projects, some I didn't know before like doing some items for architects and real estate developers.  To me, this means that although development may be slow, it can be a healthy game for a long time.

That's the hope.  We want to have an updated version of this game 10 years from now.

Do you remember where this came, roughly, in the broadcast?  Meanwhile, I need to educate myself on the ramifications of exactly what an NVIDIA Shield version of JNPG can be parlayed into! B)

This was in the last 5 minutes or so of the broadcast.  Perhaps it was mentioned earlier as well, but I don't recall.

Great broadcast. I was not much personally involved.  Just trying to hear what everyone was saying in the initial broadcast.

Question.

I assume that all three of you were not in the same room, Right?  Two were very easy to hear most of the time but Andrew was extremely soft/quiet and was difficult to hear most of the time.

We were on a Skype phone call piped into the Twitch feed.  I could hear Andrew very clearly on my end, so I don't know what the deal could've been.

Potential Speedtree license deal sounds like good news.

Just watched this. Very enjoyable and informative.

I think it is a great shame that a few noisy voices here and mostly on steam have put PP off releasing more equipment variations which ultimately are entirely OPTIONAL on the basis of an entirely false perception that it is 'pay to win'.

People will always have opinions but it is up to the developers to assess which ones are in the interests of the game and which ones are unfounded and misinformed. The devs integrity and expertise is obvious so I sometimes wish they would not be swayed so much by less well informed and often very reactionary people.

R,

From watching the Twitch feed, I don't think they have been put off releasing the equipment and balls etc. just how they will do it.

As Andrew says in the feed, ideally they want to have Career mode up and running as things like equipment upgrades can be earned within the career at no extra cost, but they also want to offer the same content in the Pro Shop (in time) for those that are prepared to buy it., but have them both available at the same time, and not one before the other.

What folks have to remember is that this is a golf sim, and in real life these type of things are available, so all PP are trying to do is replicate what is available in real life.

As golfers know, a 460cc driver is much more forgiving than the old persimmon headed one's from the 70's and early 80's. So if PP were to give us this, why do people see it as pay to win? IMO, it is pure gamers, and not golfers, who are seeing these features as pay to win. It's as if they are seeing these equipment additions the same as buying a BFG in a first person shooter, where only a Colt 45 is available to everyone else.

Ahhh ... I miss my old persimmon driver and 3W.  I don't even know what happened to them.  :(

I currently only have a 410cc driver; I'm due for new clubs (about 10 years overdue, in fact), but it's definitely the fiddler and not the fiddle that produces my scores!

I just watched the archive of the stream from Friday.  I was on the live stream but actually missed the portion when Andrew and the guys started talking about OGT at around the 48 minute mark.   I was on TS and doing other site stuff while watching the stream.  Glad I watched it again.   :)

Thanks guys for the shout out to OGT!

Bluengold34,

What is the resolution and bit rate of the stream?   It might be set too high for those with slower internet speeds.

Thanks Crow.  My problem was the volume of the three of you.  Andrew was quite a bit softer and when I increased the volume to hear him better the two of you were very loud.

I'll see how the next broadcast works out.

BTW, I use IE11 and cannot do a "Quote" reply.  Anybody know what s causing this?

Jerry, IE11 has never worked correctly on this site, long before Early Access even begin. I reverted to IE10 for awhile. However, due to an issue on another unrelated website with IE10 I finally just changed to Chrome for everything and have no problems.

Thanks Richard.  I do have Chrome but use it only sparingly.  I will start using it for the PP site.

I believe we had it set to 1080 and 9mbs - obviously something we can look into changing.

Ya, that's way too much for most people's Internet.   My twitch is set at 1280 and I think a bit rate of 1500.  I'll have to double check  that.

Got around to listening to the podcast and I enjoyed it very much, thanks gentlemen. I think anyone who listens to it will come away with a bit more patience and understanding of how tough the devs job can be and what kind of resources, both human and financial, are required to get a game like this off the ground.

It was also fun to watch them play for skins as they were talking. I might even actually consider playing PG with other people :)

Correction, my bite rate was set at 2000.   1500 would allow just anybody to watch with no lag.
