Howdy all.

Was doing some testing of the Perfect Golf Alpha today and thought  I would see what the weather system could do. I changed the time multiplier to a fast setting, making 1 day only take 1 hour in game time. I started a round in fine conditions and everything was great until I got to the second tee. While I was on the tee, things started turning sour. There was a fog that literally rolled in, getting thicker and thicker until I could barely see past the ladies tee. I sat there for a while to see if it would lift, but then there was an almighty flash and everything lit up like it was Christmas. I started to think it was some sort of a bug, but then it started pelting down with rain, so I realised it was a flash of lightning hahahaha. I have posted a couple of shots below to show what I was seeing, bit hard to really get the feel for it unless your actually in game watching it all happen in real time, but better than showing nothing at all.

That's pretty cool stuff Wayne; I think the weather enhancement in PG is going to be an awesome addition! :o

Variable weather conditions will definitely make a difference...It's easy to get bored when playing the same course and conditions every time...

Wind and weather never the same twice any time I'm on local course...

That's something that's in no sports or golf video games anywhere. Really awesome

Also, interesting that the wind has totally changed direction once the rain storm has started.

The recent Tiger Woods games have live weather with conditions  that can change from hole  to hole depending upon the weather at the actual course.  A very nice addition to PG nonetheless.

Not as dramatic as Wayne' WOW moment, but with the time of day feature accelerated I managed to nab a twilight round from the Pro at Massachusetts (TPC Boston) and here's a pic of where my second shot ended up on 18, on the way to a 2 putt birdie and a round of +4.

Not my course mate, hence why the name is blurred lol.

Still working on the re-do of Crooked Creek, plus might end up doing another before it is finished anyway.

Thanks

Just another reminder to check the local weather before starting a round.

I think it was Hole 2 on the Florida Glades course Wayne was playing.

Okay, weather and atmospheric shots... Since players can set the duration of a day to 1 hour (and a round takes about half and hour), they can easily play fom dawn till dusk... It's great fun. Of course I had to go from dusk till dawn

(The swing meter covered by the deep grass in the image below, btw, is a known bug and will be rectified - even though, in the depicted context, it feels absolutely right that it should be partially hidden the way it is now).

Of course I had to go from dusk till dawn

If there was a guarantee of Salma Hayek being my foursome partner, I would do the same, lol.

You cannot be serious!  I thought the last version was awesome (and crash-free with Links' GA  ;) ).  I can only imagine what the re-do is going to be like.  Give me a yell if you want it testing although I'm not involved with the PP testing - hint-hint   :D

I'm more an early bird than late... but decided to check something one of the other guys mentioned may be a possible issue - and stumbled across this view... yes, I'm not facing the pin... but I stood and watched this sunrise for a few mins before playing on..
