Looked inside config folder and all it had was mode of play files. I made an "autoexec.cfg" folder inside and then created a text "document" and did the up and down color, saved it and still no change. I not sure if I created the text "file" correctly.

Open the text file.  Save it with the extension .cfg . Then place it in Config Folder.

Thanks Crusher now when I open JNPG I get a steam warning about unable to sync files in the cloud and you could lose what is stored. Is that because of the change I am trying to make or will this mess something up? Option to play game or cancel.

There is currently an issue with Steam and the game cannot connect to it.  Has nothing to do with the change you are trying to make.

DC,

Two things.

How does your autoexec appear in the directory? I've seen instances of the file being saved as autoexec.cfg.txt or autoexec.cfg.cfg and they don't work.

If it is named correctly, what is the code you have entered in the file for altering the meter colour?

The first one in green is what I named it.

the swing meter is almost non existant in many places, especially when you are in any bunkers.

we as jnpg players, shouldn't have to edit any cfg files or anything to make a swing meter visible.

that is the job of the devs and the closed beta testers, not us.

by asking us to edit cfg's, you might as well ask us to start editing registries also -by doing either you are asking for trouble.

pg needs to make the swing meter "colors"  options on the meter adjustable by us non-closed-beta players in the game asap.

there is no excuse whatsoever for us to edit anything.

these cosmetic issues should have been worked out years ago, not now on our end...

The first one in green is what I named it.

Go to the autoexec.cfg.txt file and open it.

Then select File and then Save As

Before saving it, change the Save As Type to All Files

Then name it autoexec.cfg and save it

If the original autoexec.cfg.txt file is still there, delete it.

Hopefully next time you start the game, the config file will now work.

The naming convention of how you saved it initially has it saved as a .txt file and not a .cfg file so the game just sees a .txt file and ignores it when booting up

Daz,still not working. Does that file need to be in a separate folder in config or just the file itself in side the config folder? I hope that makes sense.

Just the file itself goes in Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\Config
