Ok,  I followed Mr. Mikes tutorial and have speed tree in Unity. However, I can only find one flower/bush in Avalea library. Where the heck are all the bushes?

Thanks for any help.

Ahh ok, I see now that some of the stock grasses are more like bushes but I see bushes on some courses and just can't find them. Man, I thought I had half a brain?

You can hand plant a tree, scale it and submerge it as a work around. Other options are purchases or create from Speedtree modeler.

Hey Axe360, I looked at The Florida Glades course and it had really nice plantings all around.  I looked at the Unity Asset Store and bought the most popular flower and plants pack.  It was a couple of bucks, but they look like the plants that are in Florida Glades.  Check it out.

Hello RMoore,

Can you give me the exact name of the asset that you bought on the asset store. I'm very interessed to buy it.

Thank you

Be aware that older Unity packages of trees and bushes

are not Speedtrees, and may contain scripts, and

have no collision properties, and lighting anomalies

that may work with Unity, but may not with JNPG.

I guess then, it will remain a mystery as to where folks are getting their bushes/plants from cause I certainly don't see them in speed tree.

Post a few pictures of ones that you are interested in, list the course name, and maybe we can figure it out or the owner of it can give us some clues.

QBL, they're called "Detail Flowers" by Robin Schmidt.  They look outstanding.

hey axe,im the one that did shadow creek(aka skunky) you asked about the bushes on hole 1 close to tee box on right ,is that correct?ill tell you right now ive only been using what came with course forge, ive never purchased any assets yet.you could be referring to the azailas without the flowers, i set the  size as big as it will go and set brush as low as it will go to 1.works fairly well as a bush.if thats not the one your looking at then im assuming its the pine trees i buried up to the top.hope this helps.. ooh and thanks so much for testing,SC The feedback has been really helpful.cheers.

Thanks skunky, it's a beautifully planted course. Yes, those are what I meant. I guess I need to learn how to raise and lower the plants, what a good way to overcome the lack of bushes (bury trees to the top). Thanks for the pointer too.

YVW, I am very happy to be able to help, in some small way..

Gonna be a course that will be played over and over..

Peace

Thank RMoor,

How do you use it. Do you have to plant it one by one or you create something in the paint shop, like trees or grass?

@QBL, I made a Practice Project so I can experiment doing things without ruining my main project.

So I was able to add the 5 pack of bushes, (which only have 1 bush per lib)  from the asset store for free,  into the Trees section but in the little window, it was just blue, you couldn't see the bush, also, seems like I could only paint one bush then it wouldn't work.

So I tried just opening the bush lib, in my Hierarchy, then click , "bush 1" then I could drag and drop the "bush prefab" into my course.

Hope that helps. Remember to take what I say with a little skepticism as I am just learning.  I run into an issue, then search the forum and Mikes gr8 tutorials, then post a question, if I can't figure it out..
