Your ready-to-go tropical island is finally ready. Including trees, bushes, grasses, audio loops, miscellany objects and all the same CF LL settings and textures used for my Aroha course.

Sorry about the long wait after the announcement, this was originally  intended to be issued through a working Steam Workshop. I understand some problems were encountered with that, no point in waiting any longer, might as well release it now.

Anyway, there you are. Download the package, open a new project, import the package and everything in it, then go and design your own tropical island paradise...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/t66vgrc979y4zfg/Tropicana.unitypackage?dl=0

The file is delivered "as is":

I will not offer any technical support whatsoever - or care either way if it's good, bad or ugly.

Please download this file only if you really intend to do something with it: My free Dropbox account has a download cap per time, so too many downloaders might trigger a blockage.

Ta!

Very kind. Thank you. Just started a new course so will not be using it until that one is finished. However, really looking forward to developing my own tropical paradise after that.

Thank you, K11. You are not only good with the English language but you're also generous.

Created 2 holes as a starter but the splines are hovering above the terrain. Used the solution in the Q&A section of building the splines (several times) but I can't get them to hug the terrain.

Check the Y coordinate of the terrain in the inspector window. Make sure the terrain is at (0,0,0)

Thanks Bortimus, I was seeing the same issue when putting down my shapes too....my y coord was at -4. Changing it does change the shoreline though....should I be adding 4 to the y coordinate on the waterplane to compensate for this?

What the? Sorry about that guys - yes, the terrain always must be 0/0/0. Bortimus averted me of this issue and I was sure I had fixed that, but for some reason it did not stick to the package... The cause is probably a handling error committed by me and overlooked afterwards.

If you correct the terrain altitude, you will need to move all the existing objects up correspondingly. And also raise the ocean a bit...

I have downloaded this package and  have installed it into Unity. Now, when I search for palm trees I don't see any prefabs that I can drag onto the terrain, all I see with regard to palm trees is big red figures that have only an outline of palm trees. Has anyone else had this peculiarity? Thanks.

Is anyone able to use these palm trees? I can't. Where are they? All I see is blobs of red material.

PELO, as long as you are the only one reporting this issue, I have to assume that the problem must be something local. Could you perhaps post a screen shot of your blobs?

Perhaps delete, then re-import the Speedtree folder from the package?

I'm sure you're using the wrong version of Unity, you should be using Unity 5.2.3

Thank you K11. Will be great not only for building something unique but a chance to see the inner workings of Kablammo Corp up close.

Thanks, K11. I have re-imported your entire file but to no avail. My graphics drivers are fairly new. Naturally, as you have said, if no one else has the problem then it must reside on my side. All the best to you.

Raised the base plot from -4 to zero and raised the ocean slightly and am getting these large dark patches which follow the cursor as you navigate around.
