Hi there - I generally play with three click and the swing meter has disappeared. Restarting the game doesn't solve it. Any ideas??

(I haven't somehow entered a key stroke by accident to knock it off have I?)

You have probably accidentally set the game up to use simulator in the controls section.

It came back after a computer restart for about 5 holes. Now it's gone again

When it disappears try changing the aim by clicking on the main screen.  Re-aiming has always brought it back.  When "Pause Rendering on Swing" is on this can happen when, if memory serves me correctly, you have the golfer set to left-handed rather than right-handed so I suggest you check your golfer settings.

Thanks JoeF - but no, reaiming doesn't solve it and I'm not a left either. Although I do have 'pause rendering' turned on. Mind, I've been playing PG since it was released and only just had problems in the last few days...

OK - toggling F2 (overhead view) brings it back. But it's definitely behaving differently.

I've also just noticed that 'Pause Render' settings isn't working for me anymore even though it's 'On' ... I thought I'd noticed a slightly jerkier swing meter. That was playing an online tourney...

danno99uk,

any chance you've just updated your graphics card drivers? Sometimes that can make objects disappear (I remember that from the good ol' Links days  :)  )

Seems its just my regular player that's gone funny - I've created another player and no problems so far...

The swing meter (3 click) disappears for me as I click to start the swing.  The game is hung up!  I must exit (not end)  the round then reconnect.  I am placed back on the tee and hit my shot.  No penalty just re hit the shot.

HI All,

This is still an issue for me and I've tried recreating my default player, returning gfx settings to default (I did update my gfx card but am not sure if this happened afer or before). This is definitely hampering my enjoyment of the game since it adds ~2 clicks per swing per round....that adds up to a lot of extra mouse clicks. :(

Anyone have any luck with any other workarounds?
