PP is proud to announce the release of Royal Birkdale just in time for The Open!  I think this is one of PP's most well done courses, you won't be disappointed.  It's $6.95 in the Pro Shop in game or at http://social.perfectparallel.com

There are also three official, four round tournaments set up for Tour Pro, Pro, and Amateur in game.  These will last for a week until next Thursday July 27th.  Have fun!

The course looks and plays fantastic, excellent planting

and textures, more later, back to the tee.

Great course, spent two days there Sunday and Monday.  I believe the 6th plays as a par 4 from the Championship tees not a par 5.

But is it $6.95 better than DoGgz's great version? That's a lot of money for some of us when we already have another version. What happened to the $3.00 and $5.00 courses?

Huh.  They don't have any $3 courses on their site.  They have one $4 course, a fictional, and all the licensed content are $5 to $7.

Pretty sure I paid $3.00 for one of the early ones. But I guess it may have been $3.99. Who knows, I'm getting too old to remember. Still think it's way too much, so "no sale" here. Hope everyone else has a blast playing it!

Art ... If the PP version also have the 18th as a par 5, then Mike and team have gone for the tee settings that is the normal setting for the course   ( ...maybe you can confirm or "contra-confirm" that ) ... That might leave the majority of players slightly dissapointed ... but I try to see it this way : If PP had gone the other route and set it as par 70 ... then par would be wrong for the next comming 3648 days, counting from monday next week ... assuming we will return to Birkdale for the Open in 2027 .... Great thing with the tournaments ... make me concider to buy it and try my luck ... :)

From a playability standpoint there is little difference between the PP version of Birkdale and DoGgs Southport version, but visually RBGC is much nicer.  Whether that makes it worth $6.95 s solely up to the individual.

I've just purchased this course and the folder 'birk13_7' is showing in my courses folder. However, I can't find the course on that stupid bloody carousel inside the game ( can't understand why we don't have a straight-forward alphabetical listing rather than that cumbersome monstrosity) - whinge over.

I'd be grateful if someone could explain why the course does not appear inside the game. :(
