I recently purchased JNPG for my Skytrak and love it compared to my last Sim software, the graphics are great and the gameplay is sweet... but I have a few questions and any info would be appreciated.

1. I assume because I play Sim golf the club selection and shot type don't apply to me... is that correct?

2. When I tee off I see a "grayish" dot in the fairway on the mini map.... what is that?

3. I understand the lies influence spin and power loss but do the also affect direction? Ball below feet should go right or above feet going left ect...?

4. What is the screen icon below pencil do...when I click on that it turns red but nothing seems to happen?

5. What is the flag icon below green grid do...yet again I click on it and nothing happens?

6. How does game difficulty affect game play...hacker vs pro?

7. Is there any in game practice mode?

Any help with these "newbie" questions would be great and please feel free to let me know anything that I might have over looked or playing suggestions would be also welcomed. Thank You

In answer to your questions..

1. No need to select clubs or anything like that, the game just purely uses the data from your launch monitor.

2. The Grayish dot is the aim point, ie the point at which you will be auto aimed.

3. Side hill lies as you describe will have an effect on launch direction, although it is debatable as to how much and if this is 100% correct. However there is an effect there in terms of ball flight.

4.I think thats leadeboard, will only be relevant if playing tournaments.

5. When on the green it removes or replaces the pin.

6. Difficulty in terms of Sim play only affect in which views you can aim:

Beginner and Amateur allow you to aim in Main View, In the Mini map in the top right, and in the F3 and F2 views
Pro can aim in only the Main view and the Mini Map View
Tour Pro can only aim in the main view.

7. If when setting up a SOLO game, you change the game filter from Stroke to Practice it allows you to move the ball anywhere on a course (using the ball icon in the lower left) and then can replay shots from that position over and over until you hit the continue button

Id highly recommend once your familiar with the game heading over and joining the OGT Simulator Tour, we run weekly tournaments mirroring the PGA Tour schedule, as well as stablefords, team events and lots of fun social multiplayer rounds.

We also have a live chat discord channel where you can ask all the other members for advice, and also help with all sorts of sim stuff etc,  just click on the invite link: https://discord.gg/9yqFCBM

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions! I am a member at OLGT and look forward to exploring around over there as well. One more question... If the gray dot in the mini map is gone can I assume I am now auto aimed at the pin (the green dot)? Thanks again I appreciate the reply

Yes that correct.

Its always worth a check of the aim point in any case, and if you set your "difficulty" in the Players settings to Amateur then youll quickly be able to adjust your aim point in the top right mini map in any case

Check out that discord link and hopefully once ya all familiar with the game feel free to come by and play some multiplayer and get involved in the tournaments, adds so much to the game

I forgot to ask this in my original post...when I load up JNPG a few seconds go by then the Rapsodo box appears and numbers with info start scrolling down. When its finished I then click on the JNPG window and leave the Rapsodo box running in the background...is that the correct thing to do? The Rapsodo box has taps that say "disarm skytrak" "set "putting mode" ect...do I need to click on any of the taps and change anything or just leave them be?

Yes that Rapsodo box is the Skytrak Interface.

In general there should be no need to interact with it, however there are instances where, say you were putting from the fairway, it may be advisable to manually set it to Putting Mode etc.

There is a skytrak section within the discord channel I see you joined, lots of other useful hints and tips in there too
