Hi Everyone,

I just purchased JNPG over the weekend and am enjoying playing the RCR, is there a list of real courses that have been made with different names, eg Carroch Lock = Carnoustie.

I have played Links for the last 20+ years and felt like a change. I have over 150 courses and 80% are RCR.

Thanks in adviance for your response. Andrew

Hi there Andrew, welcome to the best golf-sim out there. Me too, I came over from Links some time ago. You'll find many Linksters in JNPG. Believe me, JNPG is the next level. Don't forget to give the Real Time Swing (RTS) mouse a try as it's one of the game's showcase items. You can even join a RTS-only tournament over at PGLS: the Real Time Country Club. ;)

On the renaming of some real courses I have a couple here for you:

Georgia Pines = Augusta National

Trapmont = Oakmont CC

After installing courses in the game you will then see them appear in 'the Carousel' when you start up the game and want to select a course. When in the Carousel screen just type in a name (or the first few letters) and you will see a quick search finding the course in the Carousel. That way you dont have to go through the whole list one by one. Also, some courses have a slightly different name make-up in the Carousel then the file name in the course folder. An example of this is the Kiawah island ocean course. This course appears in the Carousel as 'aa Ocean course'. However, in the course folder you will find it under the letter K.

Still, you should be able to find all courses by just typing in the name most of the time.

You probably already know where to find all the courses to download but i'll give you the two main sites: they are

Enjoy!

just a little note, i used a text editing program one time to also

insert the proper names into the courses it did work where they had the proper names in the carousel.

only problem with that was i could no longer hook up with others in multiplayer. just a little tip

before anyone waste the time trying this.

Charles, could I have some clarification, when in the course carousel you said just type the course name --- where exactly would I do that?

Never mind... I just typed it on the carousel. I would have never known that if I hadn't read your post. Thanks, Charles.

g3b, daviesaj2018 - you could go to the Recorded Rounds site (below) and download the PG Course Database spreadsheet that lists all of the courses, and their aliases.  It's not the "hold your hand, and walk you through it" kind of answer, but there's lots of other information included.  And...welcome to Perfect Golf.

Mike - can you re-stickie the Recorded Rounds again, please.
