I have to say that as somebody who lives a cross platform life for personal and work reasons, I find this really interesting. The new Microsoft edge is built on chrome basically but removes most of the Google bits.

This could be my instant replacement for Chrome which I tend to use on windows as it’s the best option normally for me but I don’t enjoy being in the Google ecosystem too much.
