I go to do something in Course Forge and turn the camera or whatever it is a certain way ..... look at the terrain at a certain angle and it gets real dark - Is there anyway to improve on this ... is this the camera what causes the shadow can I make another light source coming in from another angle ????

Sorry, JHB, I wouldn't recommend that people turn off shadows. I don't know if it'll actually translate to the course build but let us know.
You just need to turn the Shadow Cascade to "Two", not "Four". It's like LOD for shadows.
Turning shadows "OFF" will make many things look bad.
Stop veering off the path. Keep the training wheels on for the time being.
Ok I turned shadows back on to Soft Shadows.
When I click on Directional Light this is what the Inspector shows .... as you know ... anyway
When I read anything I over think it and do not recognize the obvious having typed this no where do I see "Shadow Cascade" no where do I see Shadow Cascade is on Four wherein I can adjust it to two; furhthermore, the phrase "It's like LOD for shadows" I have no idea what LOD means - finally thanks for your help and replies but I am clueless so I went with the easy option that I could grasp but I do not want to simply put shadows on no shadows. ....
WAIT !!! I had a brainstorm I googled Shadow Cascade in Unity but that got me nowhere then I googled "How to adjust Shadow Cascade in Unity" This led me to some digging wherein I found out I have to go to EDIT then click on PROJECT SETTINGS then go over to QUALITY then over in the Inspector this screen pops up that I have never seen before in my life nor know how to get to and in this screen somewhere it reads Shadow Cascade so I change that to be Two.
And what is great is this works too and is the better way to do it according to DPRoberts which I do not doubt one should remember I do not have training wheels because I am not even allowed on a tricycle they drag me around on a towel.
I have deleted my other posts which falsely promoted the merits of simply putting the Directional Lighting on No Shadows so others will not follow down the wrong path.
I made a 9 hole golf course that only I think is worth playing but I had to deal with these stupid shadows the entire time changing angles blah blah blah just to do stuff now thats fixed. Wheeee

Little known fact when King Arthur was trying to make a golf course and he ran into some conflict. King Arthur: There's a peace only to be found on the other side of war. If that war should come I will fight it! Other important fact. Read the Book of John in the Holy Bible.
