Hello,

I recently changed my gaming computer, to my

UHD TV. I am using the UHD TV as my monitor.

I then went to Perfect Golf and changed the resolution to 4320, or whatever

was the highest resolution available.  I did not notice much if any change

from when the resolution was set at 1920.

So the question is this:

What is controlling the JNPG  resolution qualit ?,

The  JNPG Game itself ?

Windows 10 ?

Or even Direct x 9 or 11.

I just want to get max resolution  and course quality for JNPG.

Any suggestions ? Comments ?

Also what does the 3D mean in  the name some of the courses.

I saw one course that mentioned 3D grass.

Does the 3Di indicate better  course quality or resolution. ?

Or somethng else ?

Thanks for the help in advance !

I almost hate to mention it, but is there any recent Perfect Golf II, updates ?

Gary, are you a recent buyer?

Just so you know, this is abandoned software (for many years now) and the IP was sold.

There is no Perfect Golf 2, nor will there ever be.

(there is a newer version, but it's only for the customers of the new owner - Trackman Golf)

3840x2160 is likely the resolution you want.

If it is, enjoy the slideshow unless you have a decent PC and high end videocard.

When I bought my HD tv, I had to go into the TV menu and change the settings to "Game Mode". Also, i had to buy a usb cable (from PC to TV) that could handle 4k. (I think the cable had to be rated 2.0 or better). Good luck...

Hello All,

Thanks for the replies.

No, I am not a recent  customer. I purchased within 6 months

after it came out.

I connect the gaming  computer thru a HDMI cable.

The video card is a GEForce GTX 960, when purchased it was state of the art. Certainly not now.

According to the card specs,

Max Screen Resolution 4096 x 2160

When playing the game I get a great video stream, no choppiness or lag.

So if I see no video quality difference, what is controlling the resolution ?

JNPG     (Which is my guess)

Windows 10

Direct x 9 or 11.

My 10 year old Acer desktop has plenty of lag and choppiness

when playing JNPG on there.

The UHD TV has no game settings.

Does anybody have any comment on the 3D courses ?

I occasionally have checked this board in the past. Is Perfect Golf been announced as

officially dead, I understand from past posts many think so.

Trackman is a simulator, right, not for pc ?

Thanks again.

PG is far from dead but only as long as we keep players coming.  PGLS now requires people to join PGLS to download courses and we get new players signing up every day.  Sign ups started 3/5/21 and as of 4/16/21 151 new players have been added.  Many will say with no new courses and bugs in the game, it will not last.  There are over 460 courses available so plenty to choose from.  I still think it is the best golf game ever.  As long as PGLS is around and PG is available on Steam I think we have many more years to play.
