Jugador, are you the only one currently designing for this game? I remember reading that a group of designers jumped ship and went over to Trackman. I can't blame them for wanting to make money, but it seems there is no loyalty to this game anymore. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You are wrong. I've got a couple projects still in the works for Perfect Golf as well.  ;)

Excellent work on Bearpath! I didn't notice any playability issues with the course during my round. I like the atmosphere you created with all the custom models and the skydome. The animated ferris wheel and rollercoaster were highlights. I also love the varied soundscape you created. Yes, there were some frame drops at certain sections of the course, but it didn't greatly affect gameplay on my system.

Thank you for the many hours you put into creating the course. I'm looking forward to Les Bordes.

Thank you, sir...coming from you that tells me I'm on the right track! I'll probably never reach your skill level, tho.  I have to admit I get most of my ideas from studying your courses and the other top designers here.  :D

Unfortunately, I  do think a lot of the designers are busy with other projects. I still say this is the best golf game out there, tho!

I'll chime in since I have not played it but I have been in the course area a time or two being from the twin cities. Although you did a great job I think you seemed to be more concerned on eye candy and how many objects and sounds you could put in the game than making it look more realistic to the actual area/course. The city buildings had no business being there and lake riley seemed more like an ocean. That church is a house in real life but since you had a church you had to put it in right?

That's really the only crit I can give, I only like to put objects in my designs that belong in the area.

You still did a very nice job though so thank you.

P.S. what did you do with the Legacy at Cragun's designs? Still have them?

What do you mean, doesn't look like real life? There really is a stop sign to the left of the 3rd green!  :D  Hey, Joe...glad to see you posting.

Yeah, I'm still working on the "real life" look. Right now, that's just over my head, so I just use my imagination and try to make it look nice. (looked like a good place for a church to me)  :D  Go ahead and play it, I think you'll appreciate Nicklaus' course design.

I still have the Cragun courses you gave me, but every time I get ready to start one, something else grabs my attention. I just started Les Bordes in France. I'm taking a little extra effort to make this one resemble the actual course. That could be good, that could be bad!

Good to hear from you, bud.

I did play it but like I said it could have been a bit better. But I try for perfection in a real course design and maybe that's why I only finished 1 instead of the 5 I had going.

For not being a perfect recreation though of Bearpath it is a great play though and looks really nice.

Thank you, sir...glad you liked it! I've suggested it a few times already and you may have already figured it out, but if you'll use a 3 wood off the tee and no more than a 5 wood from the fairway, I think you'll appreciate Nicklaus' design more. I can't tell you how many times I've caught the left fairway bunker on the 1st hole, but it's just more satisfying to hit a PW from the bunker 10 feet from the hole than "fly" everything and just have a 50 yard pitch. Also, the bunkers on #2 will come into play, the right bunkers on #3, the right bunkers on #5, the left FW bunker on #7, the right bunkers on #10 etc, etc...if you hit a driver, you'll just "fly" all the bunkers and I'm pretty sure that's not what Nicklaus intended.  :D

I hit farther with my driver than a 3 wood in real life and if I need to drop down to a 3 wood to play that course then Nicklaus ****ed up and didn't do a very good job..lol - Sorry didn't mean to be blunt. Not everyone can hit the ball only 270 or less off the tee and Nicklaus didn't do a very good job if he didn't realize that but that is a private club and not a tour stop so that is why he designed it the way he did. Not my fault the game lets you hit it farther. A hazard is a hazard and just because a bunker is at 255 doesn't mean he put it there to stop you from taking a driver, it's meant to punish a bad shot.

I play like I would in real life, I don't play how a certain designer intended for it to be played. He probably though "Oh well no man who plays this course won't be able to hit farther than 270 in real life so that's how I'll design it with hazards at that yardage". I can hit my driver 275, my 3 wood 250 or so. My 8 iron goes 160..

Sure you do...and you should have seen the 4 foot long bass i caught the other day!

What did you do, hit a drive with a strong tail-wind from an elevated tee and got 275 after a  long downhill roll?

I'm assuming your in the 40 to 50 year-old range, if so, congratulations, you out drive you counter-parts by 50+ yards!

Here's a video showing average distance of 26 million shots...I think Jack knows "exactly" how far you "really" hit the ball! :D
