Can cart paths cross textures?

Assumption:

From what I've seen you can't overlap texture mesh boundaries, so if you are drawing the cartpath as a shape you can't cross it through other shapes.

There should be nothing stopping you from brushing in textures on the plot terrain underneath it if you want it to appear as if it is cutting through different textures though, the key would be to make sure your plot terrain has the same texture scaling as your mesh shapes so they match.

Not sure if Unity's brushes will be detailed enough to paint cartpaths into the plot terrain without having to create them as mesh shapes. Remains to be seen.

We use a tool for creating roads and cart paths called Easy Roads

So can you make continuous cart paths across textures? In TW CA you have to draw the path right up to a texture, then stop, then restart on the other side ,  the go until you hit the end of the next texture and repeat, so there is always a little break between textures and paths.. It can be pretty tedious this way...
