I use PCPitstop.com to run a diagnostic of my system a few times a year.  It's an excellent site with an excellent rating. Many people have had free accounts there for years.  All you need do is sign-up with an email address and create a password.  They require that everyone use Internet Explorer. When you sign-up and then log-in you'll be prompted to install a browser plug-in for IE 8/9/10 which is perfectly safe.  The link below is SOLEY for the purpose of running a free diagnostic evaluation of your sytsem and hardware. You will find names of your devices, driver versions and much more at the end of the diagnostics.  They will make suggestions for driver software downloads and other software. There is no need to purchase anything, just do the diagnostic tests to see what is going on with your computer.  If you need help ask questions in their forum or send your diagnostic results to a friend who can evaulate what you may need to do to improve your systems performance.  Have fun! It's a great way to learn about the guts of your PC.

Another great site for remotely scanning your Windows System for malware is also free.  It's called Trend Micro's Housecall.
You simply choose 32 or 64 bit when the page loads, click run when prompted and allow the remote server to scan your
system.  This is a wonderful way to help rid your system of pesky infections that may have corrupted your security software
or to just get a second opinion.

This site works best with Internet Explorer.
