I signed up and uploaded my image, I copied the image using Direct Link (second from top).

I come to PP forum and open a Reply, I click the Image icon and see an Image Properties box,

I paste my link and click OK but nothing happens. I can't even exit or close the box.

Any suggestions please.

Sounds like you're doing it right bud.

 

Not sure why the box isn't closing down when you hit OK. I posted the following image using the same method as you (I also use Imgur). As soon as I click OK, the image appears in the reply.

The Image Properties box stays onscreen, I have to close PP

for it to disappear .

I am just trying the smallest image setting in Imgur.

I can paste the link in the box but OK does nothing.

Oh well, I haven't a clue

It happens to me too. I was only able to get it to work with tiny thumbnails pics.

NoPutt, is your picture a jpg or any other frequent format - this forum does not accept psd's for example

Perhaps it might be a browser issue - that box should close right away.

Don't give up, it's usually soemthing silly and small that can be sorted out. Check these forum settings and those of imgur again, perhaps you have a privacy option active or so.

Yes, It's a jpg .  I'm not giving up, just stumped as to what it could be.

Does text need to accompany the jpg?

When I can post a pic I'll show you what I'm getting.....uh...not.

When I try to close the Image Properties Box I get a pop-up

WEBPAGE MESSAGE:" Some of the options have been changed. Do you sure to close the dialog?"

That's word for word what it says.  So I go to options in this reply box and I get an editor with 2 options,

I have tried every possibility of check or uncheck and still the same. I have allowed the Imgur site in

my Internet privacy settings with no change.

Might be your browser, then... The workflow is correct, but some of the parts don't communicate as expected. The information age is first and foremost a confusion age...

 

Meanwhile, there's a plan B:

If you post a reply here and select (More Reply Options) at the bottom right, you reach a new page where you get to upload a file - like an image - to post here straight away. You have to "add" it to your post after uploading it, it's a second step to take.

The bad news is that you can only upload a measly 500K altogether, which isn't much.
