When  Course Forge is released, which version of Unity will we need to have installed?

We are still running 3.5.7 internally and have not tested Course Forge in Version 4 yet.  The free version should be sufficient.

How good do you have to be with Unity? Is covering the basics and learning the interface going to be enough to be able to work in CF, or do we require more in depth knowledge?

So, obviously more information will be forthcoming about Course Forge and it's use, but to be clear, all users must download and install what? Unity Web player, or a paid/free trial version of Unity? I'm a little confused about what is needed here.

Unity Web Player allows you to play Unity Games that are exported out for Web play.  Unity 3.X+ Free Version allows you to make games, and is what will be required to build courses along with the Course Forge

Andrew,

I have downloaded and installed the 3.5.7 FREE version. I assume that if you release the Course Forge and it needs the 4.X version I can update easily??

Hope the Course Forge is easier to operate than Unity. It blows my mind.

Jerry

downloaded Unity v3.x  it says to register and a one time 30 day trial is available for everyone

thought it was free for ever ?

edit:

all o.k  was just a bit reluctant to register with only 30 days, but you get the option for the free version.
