This recent article suggests that 2k sports may be working on a golf title. Is there any chance PP could be involved? Are they totally unrelated? An interesting thought

I had heard that some of the old Access Links programmers were working on a new Golf Game but thta was a year or so ago and nothing else was ever mentioned since.

Maybe there is somethng to what I had heard??

Wasn't that far back Lee. It was only last year as I said. I just looked back at my saved files and it was July 9th, 2012, TGolf.

Perhaps this is what Jerry is referring to: (Copied from a post made at Links Corner June 29 2012)

I’ve got exciting news for the Links Community! Hot on the heels of the successful Tex Murphy Kickstarter campaign, TruGolf, the original development team for LINKS, wants to do one for a new golf game! The Tex Murphy Kickstarter raised over $600,000 and the goal for this one is $300,000 to 400,000. This is just to gauge interest to see if it's worth it for TruGolf to look at building a new golf game. So if you're interested in seeing something new sign the petition!

That's it LasseThid.

Thanks for finding it for me. I read the Links Corner faithfully but am a BAD searcher and couldn't find it.

I think TruGolf were going to have a stab at converting their simulation software to allow it to be used in a golf game, a bit like PP are doing (as their product is mainly aimed at simulator and course design)

The software was called E6 Golf and they already had a fair catalogue of courses available......

http://www.e6golf.com/golf_courses.php

Looking around their site, it seems they were showing off their new simulation engine - E6Golf II - at the golf show in January. So maybe this will be the benchmark Perfect Golf/Course Forge will be looking to surpass.

;)

Ok, drawing on the back of information.  Take 2 who own 2K Sports are the official owners of Links, someone may have decided to drag it up out of the dust closet.  E6 Golf is basically Links 2004 and I saw their new version at the PGA Show in January.  It was clearly an upgrade on their current version, but still appeared to not have any seam blending.
