i figured if we posted our worst from TWO it may be helpful here to maybe keep the same things from happening here.

here is mine.

when TWO turned into a pay game i figured i would pay monthly to see how it went.

first month went good. now the second month they billed me 3 times so instead of contacting EA i went directly to my bank and they removed 2 of the charges well 2 days later i went to log in and i had been banned. i went to my email and found one from them accusing me of bank fraud now i did not have all the charges removed just 2.well it took me multi emails and phone calls and 15 days to get it straightened out. when i ask the customer service person i was dealing with, what right EA had in calling me a thief . they gave me 3500 points and i let it go there.

well have at it folks im sure we will hear some good ones.

Couple of things.. I signed up as a beta tester and the very first time I saw the game, I could not believe EA Sports made it, it was horrible..

2ndly, EA almost NEVER listened to the many beta testers that poured everything into trying to make that game a success... They really should have listened to us beta testers as everyone can see the results for not having listened... You don't ask people to help you out, then not listen to 99% of what they suggest...

Although I didn't have the problems you describe Dave, I too invested after the beta, to show my support and I still had hopes EA would listen but they didn't.. I should have known from the way us beta testers were treated, that it wasn't going to happen...

I'm over it now but will be very careful in the future.... Show me the money! ;)

Two things, a little bit later down the road:

1. The infamous May 2011 update when they removed the "swing trainer" stuff and instead came out with clubs that had accuracy/distance/forgiveness stats. Cost me 20 yards on my drive and took me quite some time to get used to, especially with the sweet spot being so microscopic at the beginning. But it wasn't so much this change in gameplay that made me angry as the way they told us about it: Not at all!

2. TW12, when basically all the terrain settings (lightning, fast, medium, slow) were somehow dumbed down or voided. Ever since, there was no way to get a very hard, lightning speed green by selecting these settings. Most of the times, terrain physics was just a slowish, mushy status (except for the fringes, who turned extra-bouncy). Go figure... On the plus side, ever since there was no penalty for a sand lie in a bunker, so players started to aim for the "brown fairway" on purpose, if it made sense.

I could go on... but oddly enough, all my membership affairs and transactions with them went smoothly.

i to have to agree with axe,it did not take me but a few months to figure out during the beta

they where not listening.even with the time all of us spent making video clips and stills to show them the problems.

the only real fix i think i saw there was the slam putting, which was not really fixed because you could over power your putts

to take out the breaks

Hey, I didn't know we were going to discuss the totally crappy game play, game physics, game mechanics, 2d panos with cardboard cutout trees, etc. etc. etc. etc. or I would have mentioned that too.. Because really, that's what was horrible about the game, The Game!!!

I don't know what you have been PLAYING before (false, I know), but that mainstream, marketing features, are not going to be part of this sim, I am sure. Forget about EA, Tiger Woods 2029 and so on,...if this is going to be a serious golf business , (and I am sure it will, since it is made by golf lovers, not money lovers...) those consolesque (Super POwer Boost, Eye of the Eagle , Mega Super DRIVING Hero features...) are not part of the equation here,...thats not something I even worry about (knowing this guys from LInks 2003 world)...the main point here is ...is it really going to be released?

Here's hoping PP learns from many years of others mistakes. ;)

Have to agree with Larry, one of the biggest reasons TWO failed was EA’s unwillingness to listen to it’s customers after the first two closed beta’s ended.

The next reason was EA not having a clear vision of what they wanted the game to be, as evidenced by their continuing to change the games goals/options/physics, while neglecting to fix the games bugs and at the same time coming up with inane excuses why fixing the games problems or adding features was not a high priority for them, i.e. multiplayer or moving on the tee box or ball drops.

Of course, no discussion of TWO’s failings would be complete without mentioning how poor EA’s customer service was, is and continues to be.

Those of you who know me, know I could discuss this topic for hours but, think the basics are enough for PP to get the gist of the conversation and if they really do want to avoid the pitfalls EA experienced, I’m sure they have or will be perusing the TWO forums.

Speaking of reading forums  and glitchy  games, check out the one for TW14 console. Man it's getting ugly on there. Lots of unhappy campers.

Ok my worst time dealing with Two was just before it closed down. After learning about PP and there vision for the game I got pretty excited about it. So I would keep posting in the Two forums the information about PP. So at first they kept removing my post, they would last about a day. Then they banned me from the forums completely.

Being charged $5.34 June 14th for TWO/TW12.    The game ended on June 6th.  LMFAO!  The dumb A****.

I am so looking forward to Perfect Golf.  I also know what very capable hands PC golf is in.  I can not wait.
