You might want to check the weather settings with RTW turned off.

You'll find out for yourself but weather puts a drain on the video/card/module unless it's a pretty powerful rig. I hope it works well for you.

Am i the only one thinking that thunder & lightning really shouldnt be in a golf game, since we all know that its "forbidden" to play in such weather in real golf? :)   Thunder in the far distance would be ok since no one can predict the weather when your out on a course...but ive experience heavy thunder and lots of constant lighting during multiple rounds...should not be possible IMO.

Of course it is "possible", but course management may blow a warning signal or horn for all golfers to return to the club house due to unsafe conditions.   I have been on the golf course when rain/thunder/lightning have occurred, however, never did I start out on hole 1 with those conditions.    I've played tons of golf in the rain though... it is only when there is lightning that I pack up my stuff and leave.

In the game, since this is a real weather condition, it should be in the game as part of the weather feature in PG.

Once in a while, I like to bend the rules of realism and turn on those conditions just for the mere enjoyment of it.. I find it pretty dam cool!

I agree it looks cool and is fun etc. - but its just not realistic. Its an unrealistic element in a game thats very very realistic otherwise. Every golfer in the world will not be playing in those conditions for real :)

I hear what you're saying about reality and not playing in those conditions.  I've played in those conditions before and worse to be honest.  I've seen many of players do the same.  Maybe not all of the lightning that close, but the rain for sure.

So I don't think it's that unrealistic.

Rain is fine and thunder in distance too - its the massive amount of lightning in the game at the moment, that bothers me a bit - its quite unrealistic playing under such conditions when lighting strikes every 30 seconds :)

Let's look at it from an out of the ordinary fun perspective. No sensible person would stay on a golf course, tennis court, hunt, fish, hike etc. if a massive thunderstorm was overhead.

I think PP put this into the game for a virtual experience for fun. After all, we high-tail it off the golf course when the lightning arrives in real life.

This is a computer game and we are safe, so why not have some fun and indulge yourself once or twice in being impervious to weather?

I think it's cool. ;)

i played in all kinds of conditions when i was a kid heavy storms to the snow. young and dumb, lol

i do remember that a lot of golf courses will have some of the bigger trees grounded in key

locations so if you get stuck out on the course during a lightning storm with a downpour you

can stay a little dry and not worry to much about the lightning

And shooting a 65 is realistic? It's a game.

Im fine with it being in the game. But unfortunately it shows up a bit too often when choosing dynamic weather. Perhaps its a bug, i dont know - i just had an unlucky experience showing off this great game to a golf buddy of mine with dynamic weather on. Weather in my city was cloudy but certainly not thunder/lightning/rain and when arriving at tee #1 a thunderstorm was the 1st thing my buddy saw and the first thing he said was "wow...thats so not realistic at all...people dont play in that kinda weather" - and i was like...um..shit. :)

Perhaps it was better if it wasnt in the dynamic weather setting but could be chosen manually for a "fun game"?
