If it wasn't for my 'old hag' typing teacher, back in 1960 or 61, Ms. Minne Holdhouse (yes, that was actually her name), I would not be as proficient on a computer keyboard today.
How many of us remember our Mom's tell us to put something into the 'ice box' which really was a refrigerator. How many of us remember learning to drive a 'manual transmission vehicle. Or how many remember a car's glove compartment loading with a bunch of paper maps before the current GPS navigation system. The list goes on and on!!! Isn't technology great, ABSOLUTELY.!!!
