Looking at some of the scrolling images on the site, I see one of them from within the Course Forge which shows tree planting.

I presume the lines around the tree branches are the wireframe part of the tree construction, but does this have any effect on how the trees are in the game? Hopefully this doesn't cause any invisible collision issues, like I have seen in Links 2003 on occasions (although the trees in Links are 2D).

;)

I hope not as well. Trees are a huge part of most famous American courses that I can think of, and there's nothing more annoying that collision issues.

Maybe that's how long the branches will grow? ;-)

I agree. Collision detection is vital to the playability, and probably infuriates PC golfers more than anything. There is nothing worse than hitting the perfect shot, under, over, or around the branches of a tree, only to hit the tree anyway!!

I suspect these lines belong to the 2D texture planes woven into the tree to construct the foliage. The leaves and branches are solid, but all the empty areas are transparent - it shouldn't be too much of a problem to tell the computer that transparent areas must not affect the ball trajectory.
