Yesterday I was lucky enough to be at Oak Hill for the PGA championships final round and it was awesome. I've been to a fed ex cup event and a regular pga tour event and the atmosphere at the tournament is distinctively different at each.

One of the big differences yesterday was the roars from all over the course and the moving galleries. I hope this is something Perfect golf has because it truly would make the game realistic. The TW series on Xbox 360 had something similar to this but I always thought that links crowds were larger and better especially from a distance. If you out all this together it would make for an ultra realistic tournament setting.

That's new...!

Not experienced or seen any game that has animations regarding the crowds moving.. naturally those near the player taking the shot are still, and told to be.. but those others in the distance can be milling around. I like the idea.. a little like turning on / off Tourno Mode with crowds, advertising etc.. Nice..!

We have galleries in the TW's PC Series that can be set to Off Or On but we call them Zombies as the don't actually move as far as clapping or anything (they do turn so they always face the face you) and we have the crowd noises. I would say though, most of us have the Zombies turned off.. We also have announcers for tournament play which does make it a little exciting but after a while, they get old too...

What you replied Ian is exactly what I'd love to see in the game. Obviously it's a lot to ask for but it may be a great way for perfect golf to get some paid sponsors in the game and some extra revenues.

As for announcers I would love to see a dynamic duo in the game or someone announcing but I also didn't mind links without announcers and eventually I used the sound bits posted on Linkscorner which took real sounds clips from real world announcers and mashed them together which was fine

Having crowds may put additional strain on a graphix card not sure though... We have  announcers that came with the TW's PC Series,  David Feherty and I can't think of the other guy's name right now, they were pretty good at first. Oh yeah Gary McCord.

We over at CS do have sound libraries of some pretty funny announcers that the community has made but even that get's old fast.. But having announcers does give more of a tournament atmosphere and I am for that..
