Tried to uninstall the alpha build and got an error message something like this..."Could not remove 1 or more directories, please uninstall manually"

Then it said it had been removed successfully.

Ok, I'm no genius but how the heck do I remove 1 or more directories ??  If it means going into the registry then forget it, just erks me when something doesn't uninstall properly and leaves leftovers...

Thanks

This maybe something for a one on one, but perhaps more info is needed such as did you install to the default DIR or change anything when installing. OS details etc..

With this message It's usually just a case of deleting an empty folder or two that gets left on your system. You won't need to alter the registry.

Thank you but I have no clue where to find something like that, I have looked in program files and nothing there.. Now, I realize this probably won't cause any harm but to me, it should have uninstalled properly.. I wish we had a Technical Forum and a dev would respond to issues that we have...

Thanks for the replies guy's...

Ccleaner will remove redundant keys that programs leave behind in the registry, but I don't think it will remove the directories mentioned in the original post - these will need to be deleted manually, though leaving them won't create an issue, and they will occupy next to no space on your hard drive.

Ok, I did a search of all files and folders and found a few remnants of perfect golf and deleted them. So that should take care of it...

Thanks again to ALL for the help... :D

There are many reasons this can happen, but most of the time the uninstall is trying to remove the directory and windows will not let it.  This is not a fault of the application but rather the operating system
