The rough textures are the best I've seen so far!! Kudos, great job!

The textures seem good (could be stock with different color) but he is allowing the course overhead to show through quite a bit that's why it looks so real. I do like it though but it wouldn't look that good without a course overhead image.

Nothing stock here guys. I have started from scratch with the textures than heavily edited the original OH image removing the trees and adding details. It feels very much like painting a picture this way and using the entire plot as one big canvas. I dont see any other way forward with creating realism especially on less manicured courses one might expect in Scotland etc... I'm finding the courses so far just too perfect looking and hence fake and it doesn't do much for my immersion in game. Hopefully one day we can paint directly onto the splines as that would be very awesome indeed....
All trees are also custom created in Speedtree with custom leaves etc... not %100 happy with Speedtree but maybe I just need to spend more time with the modeller.

Great look to it Scott. I can see a lot of work has gone into finding just the textures you wanted, and a lot of creativity on how they have been incorporated into the plot. I look forward to playing it at some point as I have been an appreciator of your work since you brought Oakmont to life back in Links 2K3.

He did it by letting bleed through a base texture into the meshes to recreate mow lines etc. It's an exciting advanced technique with a stunning potential. Beautiful!

Fantastic! Great rendition of a true masterpice. Many thanks, slewin. You really set the bar with this one.
Can't think of many other courses that would be more suitable to improve your sand play

Played a match yesterday Windy/Hard/14. Man, it's a monster of a course. The toughest there is, bloody fantastic. Can anyone sell me some balata balls?

Great looking course lots of details.
I was wondering if you can update the ambient sounds and lowering them.
the background sounds in Augusta are at a perfect level.
