To the staff.  Please post a WEI base score such as 4.5, 5.0. 6.0 etc. to allow players to know in a glance on Windows Vista, 7 and 8 whether or not their machine is going to "play nice" with PerfectGolf.  The balloon in the image below is just my own educated guess as to what the WEI will be for a pleasurable PerfectGolf experience.

I guess that means  you never became a PC virtual golfer.  This new golf game should really be a great experience for you for your first time.

Tsk tsk Jo, you must not be overclocking that bad boy much to be stuck at 7.8. I thought anything over 4Ghz would get over that hurdle.

Nearly the same as MJ for me, mines a 5.7, which was the score returned by the HD. All my other categories are above 7. All the games I run all perform just fine with high graphics settings applied.

I'm wondering what's bottlenecking you at 5.6 Mike? I'm pretty sure thats what I was getting using onboard video before putting in the 650Ti which jumped it all the way to 7.9 after.

I guess I was wrong about getting 7.9 on the CPU benchmark. Looks like you need a 6+ core clocked over 5Ghz to get that.

Go figure a stock i5 with a 650ti can get same WEI score as an overclocked i7 with a 680.

Unless you have a solid state HD you will be rated in the 5's. My HD is one of the fastest normal drives at 5.9. Everything else is 7.6 - 7.9 but my rating is 5.9 because of this.

That whole rating system is a bit of a joke - it went bye bye in 8.1.

Having worked for many years in the laborious IT sector, the very last tool I would use to advise on system capabilities would be anything Windows throws at me.

7.1 here, but I guess most of the points are made by my SSD Drive which gets a 7.9 rating here. Never had any problems before. Don't think this rating stuff makes any sense because alot of things can make a system run bad in games...

Who cares...

Most people who are cynical about Windows never really understood how to adjust the OS or the devices in a PC.  I know. I help the earnest PC Users a lot while the pretentious Windows Users chat back and forth about how bad everything is...

Just say'n...

You worked laboriously for a boss, I work laboriously for my clients. We have different perspectives on the various features of Windows.  The true reason WEI was removed from 8.1 was because the average PC user never even knew it was there - as is true of several Windows Features.  It also makes sense for Microsoft to remove it because they want the people to believe Windows 8.1 will handle anything you throw at it.

Most of us with "fix it" experience know that M$ needs to make a separate OS for keyboard and mouse users with the Trademark Windows User Interface.

WEI has always been a bit of a joke between me and my friends. I feel like it weighs in HDDs way too much and just doesn't provide a reliable number for how good your PC may be. That being said it is decent for those less well-versed in computers, but again MJ scored like a 5 so that doesn't really say much..
